FF when are you next in PI as we need a seriuos meeting of the pussy. I swap mine for yours and vice versa, both in schoolie uniforms of course
Of course Sir. Actually I found a shop here with maids uniforms, Sailor moon, and a whole set of other fantastic and fantasy related items., as well as the schoolies. Perversion is great. I'm there in August!
Many of the vitamin V sold on the street are fake but if you can get them at 200, that would be damn cheap and you could test one at least before the deed to avoid bad surprises.
I would advise you to skip this street stuff all together. You can walk across Makati Ave from Burgos to one of the legitimate pharmacies and buy the real stuff. It will cost i think 800 php for 4 pills, but you at least you know it is real. I cant imagine anything worse than finding out when you are in the sack with a lbfm that you dont have any wood in your bat!

Politicians are the same everywhere. I don't think they are any different in Singapore, maybe to a lesser degree. Even here in the US, Corrupted politician lay their hands on many monopolized business or enjoy previledge and convenience to conduct their business unknow to gerenal public.

Let me put it in a nutshell: when a politician in India/Philippines or so and so gets paid a token amount as salary, they are more than encouraged to recoup their expenses by corruption. (example. Nobody asks Mayor Lim. Who shut down LA Cafe. Where he got the 120 million peso for his election campaign as per his own words that is how much it cost him for his election. About 3 mILLION us?)
Unlike in Singapore. Where, despite a minority not approving, the founding father made sure Ministers and MPs get enough pay they don't get tempted to dip into public money. Just Google for "highest paid head of state" or "highest paid Prime minister".
An extract:
It was announced today (26/10/2007) that the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) of the Republic of Ireland, Bertie Ahern, is to receive a pay increase of €38, 000, bringing his salary to a whopping €310, 000! That has got to be up there among the highest. At least in Europe!
"Singapore's politicians, already among the best paid in the world, will get a salary hike next year with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong enjoying a 21 percent rise to 3. 76 million Singapore dollars ($2. 6 million), " Reuters
President SR Nathan will receive 3. 87 million Singapore dollars next year, while members of parliament, most of whom hold full-time jobs outside politics, will get an allowance of 225, 000 Singapore dollars a year.
* George Bush is paid $400, 000 a year, while his No. 2, Dick Cheney, pulls down $208, 575.
* Gordon Brown gets $375, 000.
* Nicolas Sarkozy draws $346, 000.
* Angela Merkel is paid $318, 000.
* Putin's official salary is $81, 000.
No comments. And let's get back to the subject
As for the Vitamin V and C, I would not buy anything from the street vendors. A friend of mine did buy something with some 'tadanafil' additive, and when he reached Singapore, he was warded for hyper tension.
And enough of scams. When you are buying a cop turns up and checks to see your content is "SHABU" and try talking your way out of it.
I just got back from the G-Point, and had a few beers with a European x-pat, who runs a local business and who claims that the LA Cafe will open this coming Friday. He was quite certain that the bribes had been paid and the visibility level adjusted appropriately.
After the G-Point closed, research moved on to the Amazonia for a few more, where the (pushy!) ladies say that it will open within a month.
All authoritatively true.
Authoritative truth from Filipinos -- or from Ex-Pats who depend on Filipino sources of information -- often suffers from over-enthusiasm, exaggeration, wishful thinking, and so on. And so it is in this case.
I walked by at about 9 pm Friday (the 30th). LAC was definitely not open. My squeeze knew one Filipino standing in front of the place, supposedly a former manager at LAC. "We will be open next week," he told us. I didn't bother to ask which day, assuming the answer would be about as authoritative as "it's up to you."
Having walked the Ermita and Malate streets quite a bit over the last two weeks, I'd say the closure has cut down considerably on middle aged Western male tourists in the area. G-Point and Amazonia are busy, but their increased business and those that may have moved to Robinson's mall to monger do not add up to the lost traffic that typically circulates through LAC.
Howdy Mongers,
In Manila the next couple of weeks, anyone keen on catching up over a beer and some action?
I caught up with a couple of members last time around when I was in Manila and had an absolutely rocking time. Drop me a line if anyone is keen.
Check the FAQ on the website. Overnight guests are charged around 700 pesos. So it is not girl friendly free.
I have stayed at the Tropicana many times over the years (last year included), and I was never charged a "joiner fee." I think what you are seeing on their web site is a p750 fee for an extra bed/guest.
If anyone is that concerned, call the hotel and ask for Linda, the reservations manager; she would certainly know.
I don't like Manila mainly due to the traffic and the shear size of the megapolis so I usually fly direct to angeles and stay there.
In Manila I have been to EDSA, Makati (P Burgos) and Malate back in the day.
Next time in PI I would like to spend more time in Manila but would like to try some different areas. Is there anything like Burgos elswhere? Few bars on the same street or walking distance? Few post mention Greenbelt and Quizon City is there something like Burgos there?
It would be great if we can somehow get a map of places to visit something similar to Warsaw in the polish forum. Now that would be worth gold.
Has anyone been here? I have not visited this place yet but I would like some feedback. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Red

I don't trust the 'advance booking' systems.
Google for Classmate at QC
As for Greenbelt, it is upmarket NOT A PICK UP PLACE, EXCEPT HAVANAS. More than enough times I have seen some silly stuff there where guys walked up to a girl and then in a minute or so security turns up.
In Greenbelt, unless you are Bradd Pitt. Stick to Havanas or eye ball those girls who show interest.
BTW, Greenbelt does have some lady boys wandering around. Be a bit careful.

The bars are for locals, and it is among the more dangerous areas of Manila. Even for locals.
I think that the standard areas that we all know and love (well, I love) are your best bet. Getting mugged is not fun (been there, done that). Suggest that for some novelty, you may want to try Cebu.
It's nice, Red. They have fish bowls on the different levels you can pick from. I had a real nice one who gave me a soapy massage and slithered her luscious soapy boobs all over my body and then banged me for about $30 U.S. as I recall. There's another one nearby called Star Fleet I think. These are good places to go if you have a layover in Manila and your baggage is already checked. It's only about 10 or 15 minutes from the airport. Google them. I'll definitely go back although you can find a cheaper place. They are open 24/7 as I recall.

If you have time and you have a hotel no need to go if you have late flight ex mnl and you wanne shower befor your long flight good option to boarding your plain triple emty and showered, but MNL airport is no nice airport so you swetting befor you be at your gate!
