Elisa quick test has a percentage of false positive - I am not sure how much

To be safe - always wrap up - or get yourself tested 2 weeks to 30 months after 'exposure' - though a repeat test after another 3 months is recommended.

Hiv is not a dreaded disease like it one was. Even the people who are diagnosed as suffering from AIDS have been treated successfully lowering their virus load in the blood.
This does not mean that you play russian roulette with you life or for that matter with your dick. Accidents do happen and so is life. You can die of many things. There is no clear cut evidence that taking drigs early will prevent everything. Some doctors caution that it is better to wait ecause the drugs are highly potent and have lots of side effects.

Without dragging this on too long, I know. I have my visa medical next week and will have a 6 week test first to make sure that I don't fail my medical. In my part of the world you get locked up and deported if you fail an HIV test.

I will then get one at 3 months to make sure.
