There was one president who decided to print paper Balboas, I think around WWII. But he was quickly overthrown and the successor shut the central bank and recalled all the notes. If I remember all this stuff correctly, I think the bills only circulated for a matter of days or weeks. The coins are kind of a pain in the ass because you end up with them in your pockets back in the US if you are not vigilant. It seems like Ecuador also has their own coins. I seem to remember that. I don't know about El Salvador. I haven't been there yet, although I should get there early next year. Ecuador started using the dollar before El Salvador did, I know that. Before that Ecuador had the 'sucre. ' The money they print in The Bahamas is a lot prettier and more colorful than boring US dollars. They just use the bills interchangeably in that country, like they did in Argentina before their peso collapsed.

The US dollar is not the only borrowed currency in use; for example, Montenegro is not in the EU or the ECU, but they have adopted the euro as their own.

Actually when you check out, the clerk pulls out your folio from the drawer and next time if you look carefully, you will see the copies of the Cedulas of your guest in your folio.

Mine had 3 or 4 copies of Cedulas attached which made bulk of my folio. However this was before the 'upgrade' fee was introduced. It was rather little embarrassing as that cute dark skinned 20 something old girl with long black hair was checking me out (checking out as in Check out of the hotel) and my folio with attached Cedulas laid there on counter for good few minutes haha.

Used to be called Susan be Anthony's however I am not sure what they are called now.

The Banks do not carry US One Dollar Bills but, there are some circulated from tourists or from years ago when they were used instead of the coins.

Likely the currency story goes back to the end of the War of Thousand Days when the Colombian peso depreciated about 30 times against the pound sterling.

We are just arguing about words.

If, beside coinage, one can show any paper currency in actual circulation today other than the greenback, I will gladly retract and agree that the Balboa is it.

I spent 4 nights in Panama a couple weeks ago, and was pleased how the trip turned out. Same as last trip, I stayed at Hyatt for its location. I made a reservation at Hotel Eurostar close by first, but cancelled it due to unclear chica policy. Booking as single occupancy Hyatt charged $15 for each girl I brought back. I already wrote about part of my first night, so here is the remainder of the trip.

After leaving La Mayor at 2:30, I asked the taxi driver to drive me to Ashe. I was here last year, but arrived too early for the action, this time, different story. I got here around 2:45 AM. There were many girls hanging around. They charge entrance of $10 if you want to go inside the club where you can dance. I saw many beautiful girls sitting around tables outside, so no hurry to go in. 5 min. After ordering my drink, a little spinner from Peraira, Colombia landed herself at my table after exchanging a couple glances with me. A shorter girl than my taste but with very beautiful face and very pleasant personality. I gave her a 7 for her height, could have been 8 if she was a few inches taller. It was late, and my first night so after spending too much for drinks in La Mayor, I decided to give this girl a try with all remaining cash in my pocket. So not even asking how much she wanted, I told her I only have $71 in cash (truth), and I can't go to ATM for some reason (lie, of course). If she agrees, I will give her all I have after paying the taxi. Sensing I was probably her last hope for the slow night, she took the bait. I was a little concern about underpaying that might result in downgraded service, but she didn't disappoint, and did all she promised.

Woke up in the morning to catch some breakfast, the selection of food was similar to last year, but not as good in taste for me. It is not a big deal. The Paisa I met at la Boca, Leidy, texted me asking how I was doing. With the good experience I had with her the night before, I decided to bring her to the hotel for some fun in the early afternoon. She wanted $100/ hour or $300 for the whole day stating that was what she charges when she goes to work at Veneto or Habano. I told her I would give her $140 for 2 hours. She agreed and arrived on time as arranged, but I had to register her at the front desk. The male staff was cool about it and explained to me now there is a charge for guest. I got lucky a few hours ago with the night shift staff. Anyway, the steamy section was repeated as the night before, GFE all the way. I rate her appearance 7. 5, again would have been an 8 if she got a little more carne on her.

After Leidy left, I tried a couple #'s I got from Mileroticos whom I had established contact before my trip. Both had their own apartments in the area close to Hyatt. Both girls turned out to be very disappointed in their appearances. I excused myself and left. Both didn't show their face on their profiles and maybe used others' photos instead of their own. I had asked them to send me photos that show their faces before our meetings, and both refused. I should have noticed the red flags right there. Anyway, just a waste of a couple hours, nothing else.

In the Evening I went to Habano at around 10 PM. The place was packed with beautiful girls. This was probably the most concentrated place on earth with beautiful Paisas. Even night clubs in Medellin don't have the quality and quantity like here. I would say about 60-80 girls and half of that # of guys. One thing I complained about Habano has been how hot it is being so crowded without air condition. This night was not that bad, but was horrible when I came back a couple nights later.

On the 3rd day I headed over to La Boca again in the afternoon. It was Sat. The place is a lot more crowded with local guys looking for a quickie. Unlike other girls displayed themselves at the most visible places, I spotted this very attractive young girl quietly stood in the back corner where there were gaming machines against the wall. This girl looked totally out of place here. Sara from Bello outside of Medellin, she is the most beautiful girls I have seen in this place. A solid 8. No doubt she could put many Habanos girls in shame. She apparently also noticed me, so after exchanging some interest for each other, she moved herself slowly towards where I stood. I stroke up a conversation with her. When close by with better lighting, I realized how beautiful she was. We both agreed that on site, it is not a comfortable place to continue our encounter, so she suggested the Pension. It is a small love hotel around the corner 3-4 min. Walk away. Safe to walk there when there is still day light, but not suggested at night. I asked her how much I had to gift her. She replied $50/ HR, hell, yes, off we went to the Pension. The room is $10/ HR, very clean, but no hot water. I locked her up for 2 hours with an appointment to see each other for another 2 hours on my last day. Sara was not only beautiful, she delivered a good section as well. 2 hours slipped by rapidly. I don't know how much longer she will be in Panama, but if you are adventurous enough and don't mind the filthy surrounding, She will reward you for your efforts.

After my encounter with Sara, I went back to La Mayor where I had a wonderful night drinking 2 nights ago. My Venezuelana with a killer body from the other night came over immediately. For budget concern and knowing she can down beers like no tomorrow. I brushed her away politely. She got the message and left me alone. I met a morenita Vezuelana whose name escaped me, She is not as beautiful, a 7 not an 8, but with very pleasant personality and can dance sensually. I sent 2 hours there and took her back to the hotel, $80 for the hour, again very GFE section. Panama is even better the 2nd time around.

I had heard about Red Lion close to Hard Rock hotel, and out of curiosity wanted to find out how it is. So took a taxi there at 9 PM. There were a few restaurants / bars across street from Hard Rock hotel. They all have young waitresses, mostly Venezuelanas who will sit and entertain you. I think one can establish some king of contact with the waitresses and go further. My waitress, Andrea from Venezuela even volunteered to take me sightseeing the next day when she has her day off. Maybe a good joint for locals to pick up some action in the future, but not for tourists who are only here for a few days. While here, I also observed a very interesting act performed by the waitresses. The guys at the table next to mine ordered tequila shots that came with whip cream on top of the shot glass. The waitress then took the glass and downed the tequila with their mouth only, no hand, and they moved the glass in and out of their mouth symbolizing the movement of doing a BJ. The whip cream around their mouths added visual effect of this fun game. Andrea told me the name of this game, but it was something I can't remember. I didn't see any obvious presence of working chicas around.

On my last day, I met up with Sara, the beautiful Paisa at the Pension again in the afternoon for 2 hours. She didn't work that day, Sunday, so look even better with her street cloth when she arrived. After the deed, We went through her life, her family. The regular craps, and again 2 hours slipped by quickly. Just want to mention when I was in La Boca the first night when I arrived, I also conversed with an young Venezuelana, an equal beauty as Sara in my scale who wanted $70/ HR. To go to the Pension. She was the first girl who mentioned the Pension to me. I didn't feel any enthutiatism despite the regular sales pitch from her, so didn't bite. I did see her going up to the rooms several times that night. So I heard later on that the going rate is $70 for the more beautiful girls at La Boca. I had no idea why Sara only charged me $50, pure luck I guess.

I went to Habano again on my last night. Being a Sun. , the place is not as crazy, but still with good # of girls around. I set my eyes on a tall Paisa I talked with 2 nights prior. But she kept moving around by the time I am ready, she was nowhere to be found. I stayed around a little longer, but the longer I waited, the lesser girls were available. I didn't want to go back to the hotel alone on my last night, so talked with this MILF, only found out later with more lights and back at the hotel lobby from her passport at the registration. Despite her birth year of 1979, she actually still poses very attractive figure, and all natural. The section was as steamy as it can be with some younger generation I encounter on this trip, so no regret with the decision.

As I said, I found Panama is better the 2nd time around, maybe because I am more familiar with the City now. I know Colombia is just an hour flight away, but for a change, Panama didn't disappoint me. Using the US currency also makes everything easier even at a higher rate than in Colombia. Casco Viejo is definitely nice to spend some time at. Combining my trips to Casco Viejo with my trips to La Boca and La Mayor work out nicely for my itinerary.

This time, I didn't go to the chica apartment at Dynasty building at Plaza de Mayo, because I don't think I could find the same diamond I found there last time, and the area and chica quality there was not worth the efforts either. I just got lucky last time. With one unimpressive experience, I didn't try any massage parlor this time either despite the persuasion from many taxi driver, we all know they got a cut there. If I had more time, I would be bound for Colombia, but for shorter time, Panama suites the need.

As I have mentioned in the past, Panama has extreme value with safety. Great accommodations, and unbelievable puss from all over South America. So I pay a few dollars more but I have North American standards and all of the action close by!! I haven't deviated outside the Habanos corridor simply because it's such an amazing place. But I must say your your info inspires me to visit the local joints. Well done!

For more genuine Colombiana chica experience, definitely head for Colombia, but after getting more familiar with Panama City, It can be enjoyed not only with Paisas, but Venezuelanas, Cubanas.. And others as well. Even Clombinanas and Venezuelanas outnumber other nationalities, I did like the different options available. The locations for our hobby are also more concentrated and convenient. I found the taxi drivers or even general population in Panama are more lay back, while in Medellin, they are much more tense and defensive. Have you angered a taxista in Medellin just for slamming the door a little too hard as we used to back at home when getting off his car.

I didn't go with any Panamenas, but they are there. On my both trips, I did talk to some local girls working in Habano. First was a not so attractive morena, and this time, a very beautiful tall light complexion girl, an 8 in my book. I rate most of the girls in Habano 7-8, with a limited # of 8. 5. I almost got tempted to bring her back, but the conversation didn't give me confidence that it would be a good section.

I almost always go with panameñas when in Panamá and my opinion is that they give much better service than colombianas. If you run into any nicas in Panamá, they usually give good service as well.

Where do Panama girls hang out? I don't recall seeing any in Habanos but I have only been there a few times. I am also in the camp that prefers service over artificial silicone boobs / ass and diva attitude of Colombian chicas at Habanos. Even Venezuelan girls in PTY provide much better companionship at a lower price than the Colombian mafia.

Well it had to happen.

Habanos has changed its name. Still the same owner, but the sign now says "Don Julio".

Rules have been implemented for the girls:

1- They need to have a "carnet" to be allowed in. Issued by the bar itself, it is meant to keep away the undesirables and the fighters, not to say anything about the lifters. No carnet no entry.

2- Dress code has been implemented. For the LAdies "Distinguished" apparel are the rigeur. No more minis so short that they can be mistaken for belts. Gentlemen's dress code has been enforced. Need to look neat, or entrance will be denied.

3- Girls need to have a drink before them to be able to stay at your table. CCTV were installed throughout and are monitored by two ladies supervisor. If the girl does not drink regularly she will not be admitted again.

4- On the third floor, rooms have been made available at a price $50.00 for your convenience. No need to look for outside short-term accommodation.

If the fog lifts tomorrow and I remember some more, I will let you know.

I am sure if you ask the taxi driver to take you to Habanos, he will get you there no problem. But in the future it will be known as Don Julio to th newbies.

While talking to a few girls at Habanos (pardon "Don Julio") last night, I was told that at least 6 girls have disappeared recently.

All the girls carry pictures of 2 presumed guys involved, along with the pictures of some of the girls that act friendly toward their sisters only to snare them and help in their disappearance.

I was shown pictures of girls that I knew who are missing.

So if you feel that the girls are more selective, now you know why.

Let us hope that these f"ers get cought.

Also real shame about the prostitutes going missing. I'm willing to bet the cops are not happy about that.
