I simply stated that on three occasions this year, the buses used the tunnel from the airport. I didn't say they always use the tunnel, because I know they don't, but that the OP was not correct when he said they don't use the tunnel. I always bring 2 phones when I come to Medellin but was curious if anyone has had success with bringing 3 or 4+? They're all iphones if that matters.

IMO, staying there just begs the chicas to charge you more. They are not stupid. They know a lot of weekend warriors and newbies stay there. They also perceive that the gringos who stay there are "rich" although we know that's often not the case. So if you stay there, enjoy it, be careful (been some robberies outside of the building), and try to hold to a price you think is reasonable. I refer to this place as the "Casa de Putas. ".

Railing on the three Ground Zero sisters again, all of us high as fuck, when in the middle of it PN Whassap's me asking me if these are the same three sisters he used to bang back in the day. I like the Nuti a lot. My first trip I stayed on La 70, in Parque Lleras (the park was undergoing renovations), and at the Nuti. My second trip I stayed at the Nuti only. It's just so centrally located that its biggest drawbacks of perceived safety and aging façade / interior are tolerable. The value is unparalleled at under $25 a night and the service at the Nuti is above average too.

On a side note, I suspect they renovating from the top floor (10th) down. The higher up, the better and more expensive the rooms. Tourists will be on six up. On the 4th floor appear to be mostly locals (and medical outpatients? The rooms on the 4th floor are much more basic (CRT TV level basic). If you have the option for a higher floor, take it. The differences are minor though. For example, on my room on the sixth floor, I had two fabric side chairs and table. In the rooms on seven and eight, I saw a long leather bench instead of the two chairs. The central light fixture of the room was fancier on higher floors too. TV, fridge, beds, and the rest appeared to be the same between six, seven, and eight. The the higher floors might have been painted more recently too.

Yes, you can pay more for a nicer hotel, in a better neighborhood, with better restaurants for dinner nearby. But given that I found myself travelling back to that general area pretty much every day, so just staying in that general area made sense. Once you've made that decision, I think Nuti is an acceptable choice. As a huge red flag and in the interests of full disclosure, on my first trip I heard of people complaining of pests but I didn't see anything and they did pass through to spray. This trip I actually saw (and killed) a roach once in my room in the two weeks I was there. I saw roaches elsewhere in the hotel too.

Again, at $25 a night, I'm willing to put up with it.

I've been traveling with 2 iPhones and 2 Galaxies since I've gotten to Colombia (Cali Bogota and Cartagena) without issue.

It's a very sticky white ointment which I have used in the past, however not of lately.

This creates an occlusive dressing of sorts, and helps keep the salve from evaporating and drives the medicine into the skin.

Also worth noting, "creams" are water based and soluble, while "ointment" are grease based, and I would generally recommend leaning toward the latter for these purposes but that is personal preference.

Your diaper rash white cream is a good suggestion, if a little messy. If I had my druthers I would go with 5% hydrocortisone ointment.
