Yes, putting a high price tag on something does not automatically means it's the best, and it's good to differentiate between paying for the sake of paying, and paying for the experience.

As far as I am concerned, I have been to the best steakhouse in the world, Bern's in Tampa, Florida. Playboy magazine agrees with me. If you follow up on their Website read "Their story", it is the quintessential American dream. Mrs. Bern just died in 2022, but their son carries on the business.

Been awhile since I have been to Bern's, but I recall you order by cut and weight of steak. Of course, anything over medium is strongly discouraged and over medium-well is strictly verbotten, and there are no steak sauces on the premises. I highly recommend it. Try to get seated in the dessert room, if you can.

You can also order steaks thru Rappi, they have a kilo of rib eye you can get either whole or four pieces, and it's dry aged.

I ordered them once for a BBQ, and they were very good for Colombian beef, but unfortunately nothing compared to prime meats you can get in the US.

Took 2 amigas out clubbing last night in Manrique la 45 on Colombian Independence Day.
