As a member of military law enforcement, the ideal tactical solution for the situation they were in probably would have been a sniper with a high - powered rifle. A response team with concussion grenades might have been effective, but the sheet metal the bus was made out of probably would not have been very effective at diffusing the blast away from the men that deployed the grenade!

you guys are wrong. The SWATs are out of their usual environment. They are very competent in AC raiding the bars and harassing the girls.

There was an article on one of yesterday's newspapers quoting some government functionary who was blaming at least part of the disaster on the international news networks. It seems that the hijacker had a television on the bus and was thereby able to track the "strategy" (which was not evident) of the SWAT team as it rushed the bus. This is consistent with the general tendency never to accept responsibility for anything that might be negative.

I guess the implicit reasoning is that without CNN the hour+ "mill around the bus while scratching our asses and wondering what to do" strategy would have worked.

I will be in Manila next week. I broke my foot and am on crutches and not getting around very well. I would like to find a FS girl/caretaker to stay with me for 5-6 days to take care of all my needs while I stay in my hotel room. Sort of like a nurse/maid with benefits. My plan was to go to the LA Cafe one time and get some numbers to call for ST delivery service until I find the right girl for LT.

Any suggestions? Are the LA Cafe girls at Amazonia? I have never been to Amazonia. What time is best to go? Are they all thieves like mentioned in a recent post? I would not be able to chase one if they bolted from my hotel room. How much do you reckon I need to pay for 24 hour service?

What this guy needs is a caretaker cum sex girl cum companion.
I am sure he can get a maid with no problem. Will they bed with him and be a constant companion?
I would not advice him to call agencies who supply maids, nurses etc.

I had a vaguely similar situation when I set up house in manila a few years ago.

I went to LA Cafe with a mate for the evening. A real pretty lady and her friend approached us. I chatted the pretty one, and she agreed to come back with me to my apartment for the night. She looked after me very well.

She cooked breaqkfast next morning, and I asked her if she wanted to be my housekeeper. Duties include full house maintenance, all shopping, money management, pay bills etc. Plus provide me with full service. I offered 10,000 per mo.

She accepted.

Provided excellent service in all matters till I returned to Aust almost a year later. Totally honest, never stole a cent. Sometimes brought her friend when friend needed servicing.

Another similar situation was a year in papua New Guinea. I had med a girl in a bar who was a standout. We got on very well. When I went to Port Moresby for a year, I contacted her and offered the job, on a similar basis. She accepted. We had a wonderful time. But she did not provide any other damsels, and I did not ask.

They will do it readily, if you are a good employer, and you pay well. Do not try to squeeze them out of money. You want plenty from them. So be generous in return.

GE[/QUOTE]I did not see much so not even the live airtime,. but it is a fac that if they had a tv tuned on CNN, whether the "special forces" were the best or the worst, their actions coul dbe monitored from inside the bus.
I agree on tv news, but some discretion shoul dbe used sometime.
It is not censorship, it is common sense.
