I am retired and I live in Puerto Plata DR. My son came to visit me with torn meniscus. He needs knee surgery. He has no insurance and he can not have the surgery in a in USA. I could not find a good option in DR for his surgery. I started to explore other countries with good hospitals in Latin America and I decided Fundaciand Valle del Lili in Cali is very good option for his operation. We will come to Cali and stay a month for his surgery and recovery. Any advice, recommendation and help related to this particular hospital, a reliable taxi / uber driver greatly appreciated. I went through the form and found out where to stay in an Airbnb in good, safe area close to hospital and all other information we may need.

But Cali is the safest most tourist friendly city with the amount of Black people in the Country.

I went to Buenaventura because some fine ass chicks from Bar 20 lived there. There was no club like that in the city at least no place that I or anyone else would be willing to go.

The town is partially an official no go zone.

Theres a big festival in septimber that I'm going to in 95% Black Quibdo but they literally shot up the main Police building trying to kill the citiies police chief.

The one big negative of Colombia is that you can't literally just go anywhere you want with a general risk of safety. You go to a Suburb of Cali like Jamundi or Palmera and you could be in a literal war zone.

Ask questions but if you don't see a place mentioned in Other areas of Colombia theres a reason for that.

I didn't even know how to respond to Edward Q's post but the man when down to centro and got robbed. Cali is an acquired taste. Again read Edeward Q's excellent and detailed post. He had a terrible experience in Centro and had a good experience in Cyberworld a place that I dumped on but PoonyD said that there were no more trans in the place anymore.

I strongly urge you to either rent an uber (you can rent an Uber with driver for a certain amount of time) or hire my guy Junior to take you to all the spots and watch your back.

All I can say is that I live here and I barely go to any clubs and the times that I do I end up at Olympus mostly.

Take the casa tour find the spots that you like but again if looking for Black girls your main options are the Pool hall and Bar Olympus there might be two and a few Black girls at other clubs here and there but not enough to go there if you're looking for them.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record the high end clubs are all white and in the south Calenas is in the south The cheaper lower end clubs are in Grenada and Alameda. However the cheapest places and the riskiest street meat is in Centro around Barrio Sucre and Barrio San Nicholas.

If you want to try your hand at bringing girls back to your place Black or white then I suggest staying in Barrio Ciudad Jardin, Barrio El Ingenio, Ciudad Capri, El Caney or Limonar in that order. Because of the ease of getting to from where they live to you, safety and lack of traffic in those areas.

If you're walking or ubering to mid range to cheap casas stay in Grenada, El Penon, or Versailles or Alameda. If you're on an extreme budget not planning on taking anyone back to your place. There's houlrly hotels all over the city.
