This is a late and long post. But I recently visited Taipei for the first time and wanted to share my experiences. I spent the previous 4 days just touring the city. There's not much to do, and everything is so cheap that I found it hard to spend money, EXCEPT for when I mongered, then the prices were outrageous (more on this part later).

I did a lot of research prior to arriving, and it seems that the places that I need to monger in are the saunas (Cesar's, private x) and do the tea service. Unfortunately, it rained on one of my days here so it set me back a day of touring. It was a Saturday night, and I had scoured the forums, and other websites for some tea service. I was talking to and negotiating with many of the tea service providers for awhile as well as researching what people have said in this forum. Here's what I discovered:

1. No matter what pictures they provide, they are ALL fake. Every picture is touched up, photoshopped, and / or stolen. I've lived and travelled in Asia for awhile, and even watch Japanese porn. I'm so used to the fake pictures, it's like second nature to me at this point.

2. The tea service providers will swear to you up and down that the pictures are real. DON'T BELIEVE THEM. THEY ARE LIARS. They hope they will send someone who is similar (at MOST 50% similar) to what they provided and hope that when they get to your door, you let your dick do the thinking. It's a win-win for them because if you say no, they will keep sending you someone until you get angry and frustrated and eventually say yes.

My strategy was to pick a girl from a photo that looked the most real and attractive. Knowing all of this, the tea provider agreed to it all. The price was 5000 twd, which was one of their cheapest options. What you say is true, all the pics are fake, but I have found the less professional they look the the accurate they are. But it is never the same, so I treat them as eye candy and now I rely on my provider to recommend a good girl. Been in Taipei almost two-years now, following the forum. I got great information from here, and I also have done a lot of walking around and experimenting. Seniors all know this stuff. I also think that its sometimes hard to write specific reviews about the ladies, because the younger and in my opinion the better looking ladies seem to work in the hidden massage places, and they may not stay long.

These hidden places don't usually have a sign and occupy a large space in an inconspicuous building. I've found these places through agencies in Line (usually from the JK forum site), then memorized the location and floor. Usually 2300 incl HJ. Sometimes you can get other services for extra fee. Sometimes you can even get extras for free. Depends on the establishment, lady, and your charm.

How to find one? Go to JK Forum, add some line contacts (find an agency one), pick a girl, go to the address. Many times it's one of these hidden places. You know because they have many rooms, showers, waiting room area, and staff managing a front desk area.

These hidden places are all over the city. If you go to one, get the Line contact for the place. They usually post news updates daily. Be prepared to show your ARC on the first few visits (until they get to know you). I don't speak much Chinese, but I am ABC and they've always let me in.

When you're in, if you don't have a reservation they will show you a line up. Sometimes there are multiple line-ups, so don't feel bad passing (I always feel bad). Massage Places, stores you find with big signs and often saying it's a Thai massage, are hit or miss. Many offer HJ services, but a lot also don't. I used to think those little blank underwear plus a pillow in the room meant extras. Not always so. In my humble opinion, even if the place doesn't have extras the massages are better than Saunas, independents, and hidden places. Usually 2-hours for at most 1,500 NT. Even if you don't get a happy ending, its a decent and cheap massage.

There is one Thai massage place near Ambiance Hotel that I would go to frequently. One late Sunday night (like 12/1 am) I went and got lucky with a very skinny and young lady. Agencies (Line contacts). I have a love-hate relationship with them. There are two types: Full Service or Hidden Massage Places. Two very different services and they don't always overlap.

Full Service. Always at a hotel. Either you have one or you have to rent a short-stay. I couldn't even get them to come to my AirBnb. Some already have a hotel room. Cost range from 3 K - 30 k, depends on the quality of the girl. Pictures are never the same as advertised, and most of the time much older and fatter. In terms of good (acceptable) / bad quality of what I wanted, I would say it's about a 30% satisfaction rate. The good part, many choices and you can always send them away. The agency usually advertises the services of the lady and will help make sure the girl knows what services you want. They can also arrange girl KTV places too.

Hidden Massage Places. They seem to advertise the girls working at this place. Often with body pics taken at the massage place with blurred out faces. Body types and descriptions have been reliable. However, I often try to reserve a girl and when I get to the place they give me a different one. Maybe because they know I don't speak Chinese. This is why I suggest getting the contact for the massage place directly, once you get there. Interacting with them will be faster and more honest. Plus, you can show your customer history and may get VIP room treatment.

WARNING: Once you add any of these agencies on Line, they will probably bug you now and then. Even if you contact them to make an appointment, but change your mind, they will keep bothering you to try to get you to go. Just be polite, explain whatever you want, and don't get mad at them (if you're canceling). Translation programs help, but may give you the wrong impression of their statements. Just keep cool if they give you a hard time and salvage the relationship. You can block / delete them, but try to soften any problems before you do.

That being said, I have had experiences where I rent a room, turn away 3-girls, and complain. They did not give me a hard time, apologized, and were willing to keep sending. When I told them not enough time, they apologized and were eager to try again. I did not have to pay taxi for any of the girls, but lost the room rental fee.

Ok, this was a long write-up, with no details about specific providers. More general information to help the brothers out there, especially those just getting in. Taipei is not the best place, but there are good ones. I basically just use all different types of services depending on my feeling, time, location.

Taipei is a rather difficult place to monger and "sure fire" deals are almost non-existent. I have a provider that I get along well with and has been giving me good and honest recommendations so I almost use her and her girls exclusively. I have a few other contacts (all on Line) but they offer the same girls, so they are obviously only middle "men". And sometimes one provider will say the girl is 4. 5 K while the other will show the same pic and want only 3. 8 K, so damn tricky.
