A short update on Manaus. It's three years since my last visit to Manaus. I love the city. A nice atmosphere and always a lot happening.

The regular girls are the main reason for coming here. As a gringo, specially with blue eyes and blond hair you'll get incredible much attention from women between 18-50 years. They flirt very openly.

The famous Remulos strip club still works, and some other clubs nearby. Remulos charge 30 reais entrance. A beer cost 8 reais. In the back you can play snooker. Last Saturday there were about 40 girls present. About four girls were superhot spinners. Another six girls were good-locking. A dozen were plain ugly and fat. The rest were just girls that were not worth considering to pay for.

Remulos is fun to visit but very far from what it used to be. It used to be the wildest strip club I ever seen. The quality has also gone down. You can session on the onside motel or bring the girls to a nearby motel.

On rua Jos CLmente between Lobo d'Almada and Teatro Amazonas are working some obvious underage chicks, herded by local thugs, so be careful.

Ran into a local guide out side the hotel and he arranged a fishing guide / more of a local fisherman with a 14 foot aluminum skiff. Full day for $200. November was not a great fishing season and we tried different spots for cat fish and he landed a couple of small ones. I got skunked. In the evening we moved to a different spot hoping to catch some piranhas and I landed only one in 2 hours fishing. At lunch I met a tourist boat captain who is a fly fisherman and he suggested coming in during low water season. It was very hot and we had to weather out rain in a small skiff couple of times that day. It was a fun day hanging around the Amazon river and sightseeing nature. The worst part was the stiff neck I woke up with next day due to bumpy boat ride.
