Gen X, my buddies and are in Seoul (staying in Mapo Gu) for a few days. We are 30 yrs old and went to hongdae last night. It was shitty. Lot of hot girls but they were too young for us. We got snobbed so many times. I am familiar with some of the clubbing scenes, but please can we link up. We want to check out some action.
Thanks
Your age shouldn't be a no-gamer. My guys were mid-20s and also had trouble, even with decent Korean ability. The girls on the street are just harder, younger and less English knowledgeable. Try some of the clubs. Stay clear of the hip hop clubs (unless your black, in which case the locals will make, somewhat, of an exception).
P. S. I came to Korea this summer, so I don't know how the old days were. Do people think picking up was better in the past? If so, how long ago, how so, and how did it end? In Japan, I've noticed days were better seven years ago. I think it had to do with fads though.
Relatively tall for a Korean; black hair (what else?) and, these days, a little pleasingly plump; attractive face w/ large eyes but no kewpie doll or great beauty.
What time of day / night are you seeing this girl? It isn't Janie, is it? If she's back, I'll definitely stop by for a visit. If it's Janie, she worked at Cheers, and briefly at Ing bar. She's missed.
Well I was browsing through the search again and I happened to find a report on a girl at itaewon by the name of Jina/Gina who also has natural D cup breasts. I was wondering if she's still at the hill? The last report on her was around February, and I believe she's been working there for a real long time as reports of her date back since 2003.
There is a Gina / Jina that works at V. I. P. (formerly ROYAL) in the evenings after 9pm or so until sun-up. That's one of the names she goes by, I think.
I was also tempted by a blond girl at the bar called Moon Shine. Has anyone been with her? I think she will be my next target, but would be fun to hear if someone has any experience with her.
That be Nadya. She's great for the money, but best to catch her on the day out of the month when she decides to take a shower. Far too much ink these days. Kind heart. Learned her English from rap music, I'd say. That was my impression after just a few visits. FS for under 100, 000. Hate her blond look. She was so much hotter before the copious amounts of ink, face surgery, and bleach-blond hair.

I have several Korean guy friends who absolutely look like popstars / idols that you see on Korean TV, and whenever we head to party at places like Hongdae or Kangnam, they can just walk up to any Korean girl and right away the girls will get interested. I'm serious. I was blown away how many girls they had sex with whenever we went out and they would always show me photos of the girls from their cellphones.
If you want to pick up chicks, then avoid Kangnam because the competition there is no joke. As much as the girls there are like fucking goddesses, it's very difficult to get with them even for Korean guys unless you're rich. This is why my Korean friends aim for Hongdae more than Kangnam because the success rate is better there.
If I have to give advice to foreigners, it will be to improve your Korean. Of course there are many people in Korea who can speak English, but I think the chances are very random. From my experience and my Korean friends, many of the Korean girls that we have met in clubs speak from little to decent English. It's a no-brainer that your chances to get with a Korean girl is higher and less difficult if you know how to speak Korean.
On top of that you also have to be good-looking. It's a fact that Korea is a superficial country.

The mid and late 90's were awesome. That all pretty much came to an end in '02 with the anti-American protests and the anti-English Spectrum "roving bands" of Koreans out to pummel foreigners with "their" women.

Old days (somewhat)

In Japan, I've noticed days were better seven years ago. I think it had to do with fads though.
My first time in Korea was in 1987. Even then, it was difficult to meet women just walking down the street. Mostly, that is part of their culture. Many people think the Koreans are being snobbish or rude when they don't give greetings or say "excuse me." But it is not part of their cultural upbringing to do that. In fact, they think it is rude, or at the very least, odd for a unknown person to even say "Hello," as they pass by. Most of them will be shocked by an unknown foreigner trying to speak to them on the street.
During my last stay in Korea (2004-2010) , I took up walking through the small town I lived in. I got bored with just walking past everyone along my route, and started saying the Korean word for Hello,"Anyonghaseyo" (not sure on the spelling, but you get the idea) to the cute women I would pass by. Almost every one of them just stared in shock / disbelief at this big white man talking to them even though he had never met them. It was funny to see their expressions! I walked the same route everyday, and after a while noticed the same girls were out at the time I was walking. I also greet those selling things on the street, or in the shops (most of the time only nodding to greet them, but sometimes poking my head in the door to verbally greet them). With this repeated greeting, most of the women became comfortable with it, and began replying in kind. Some of the women even began to get friendly. I was invited to join some for coffee, or other drinks at times. One even came out of her shop, and chased me down to invite me to stop in sometime and enjoy some "fun" with her and her friends. At the time, I was married to a Korean, so I could not follow up on the invite without causing a storm of gossip.
If you have the time, and are persistent, I believe you can find Korean women outside of the clubs and RLD. Of course, knowing how to speak the language is a large plus in this effort. Speaking Korean can also be beneficial in the business clubs and booking clubs.
Hello,
I have traveled all over asia, japan, taiwan, Thailand, China, phillippines for mongering. I am Taiwanese my self. I have never heard of anyone trying to block another guy from talking to a woman.
Good luck
That is because this phenomenon is predominant in Korea. I have never been cock blocked by Asian men outside of Korea. In fact, usually the opposite. Interesting that this topic has resurfaced. I have noticed how progressively worse it has become in Korea. Just a matter of time before something blows up. I have decided to bulk up to be more intimidating (although K broads usually prefer less beefy guys) , and have found if you travel with large group of guys (especially my African American friends who most Korean guys are scared of) I get less resistance. Attitude is key with the younger guys, and I tend to stare them down. Just waiting for my temper to snap and start busting heads (not smart move though). The older guys are the harder ones to deal with.
On a brighter note, had amazing P4P on the hill before going clubbing (scored digits from 2 best looking hotties from both clubs to boot). Double tag team with 18 and 20 yr old SP newbies. Incredible service, had to fight hard not to blow early. Still horny thinking about it. Glad some ne talent is on the block. About fucking time.

3 or 4 new (and young) ladies at ABC club on the hill in Itaewon. They work at various times, usually evenings after 9pm. The older lot are in during the day, mostly. If you like slightly plump girls that are pretty, there's one about 22 that's quite attractive, IMHO. Asked for a HJ and got a BJ to boot. Paid 40, 000. YMMV because she is new and not greedy yet. A couple of thinner girls who are a 6 or 7, and a return lady who used to work ABC, Mississippi, and another club across the street a few years ago. She's got a rockin' body, is mid 20's, but an attitude.
The Janie I thought of is indeed working at Uncle Jack's in Fish Alley. If you're into FJ's, she's got the softest skin you'll ever find.

Oh, forgot to mention the girl back at ABC with the rockin' body and attitude is named Hannah (or Anna).

I don't see why the US needs to there to protect korea. And this cock blocking foreingers too. I don't see why the US has to spend millions and put our troops there to protect them. They should be happy we are bringing money to their women. We should be at countries that appricate us. Taiwan, phillippines, Thailand, japan. These countries deserve more attention.
This is just my humble opinion.

I'm not saying all of them are asses but as a group they are loud, rude, disrespectful to Korean culture and down right obnoxious. Anytime I see guys acting disrespectful to the ladies on the hill as well, you can be damn sure they are Americans.
