I finally got around to visiting Oji Akasuri last night. It's a Chinese place with hand finish. That's it. She stays mostly fully clothed, even in the assisted shower while giving the akasuri massage. The "rooms" are actually just separated by a thin curtain and she talked continuously with her co-worker next door while doing the shiatsu, which was a little annoying. I could hear the guy next door grunting when the shiatsu got painful. I also could hear him talking to her (I kept silent because I don't feel comfortable talking in these places when another guy can hear me). She and her co-worker got quiet when they are doing the hand finish. The akasuri skill is average, the shiatsu skill is above average. The hand finish is fine, not memorable but done with decent skill. I chose the Y12000 package. It's fine if you're looking for a decent massage with hand finish. The mamasan is Chinese with moderate Japanese skills, no English to speak of. The lady I was with had very basic Japanese skills and no English. I'm guessing you could get serviced here without Japanese skills. Just don't try to touch the lady or do anything stupid. I'm sure the local yak is just a phone call away.

Thanks to everyone in this thread for helping me find out about out-call companies Asian Mystique and ClubBoo. More people seemed to favor AM so I contacted them sometime during my first trip to Tokyo and Japan in general. I asked her for a massage but it was very light and I could tell it wasn't her forte. During a little bit of our down time, I even asked her for some nice restaurant and tourist spots and she suggested a few spots that I hadn't seen yet.She can manage to hold somewhat of an English conversation but don't expect her to understand every word. I know a moderate amount of Japanese from my college days so communication was ok.Thx to everyone on this board again! Made my first trip to Japan memorable.

Hi, wondering if anyone knows of any activity (massage or health or este) in Jiyugaoka or Shimokitazawa. Two areas with a lot of young women around but I haven't seen much indication in either place of non-legit massage, for example. Large numbers of salarymen on the other hand... )

Most of those places are pretty upscale and residential. Sangenjaya has a couple of Chinese esute I know of. There are more but they come and go, change ownership, etc. If you walk around you can see the signboards outside on the street in the late afternoons. Due to the (ridiculous) 100V 'standard' here, there probably aren't any available at the retail level. Any supplier who handles 220V units probably wouldn't be interested in exporting quantity one either.
