Except at the time, I was working a full time job, so I was not as flexible as you during the day.

But I had chosen a townhouse almost right opposite the place where I worked, so there was sometimes the invitation to lunch in my place with a quick romp for dessert.

There are new flights from Cebu airport to Bantayan 3 times a week or so with a chartered air company called Mid-Sea Express. One-way (30 mins flying) ticket is about 1700 P. Has anyone flown them or does anyone have any info regarding safety etc? I'd like to try but I just want to make sure they're a properly regulated outfit first.

Juliana's is a disco with DJ, not live music like Sunflower. At Sunflower you get a table and sofa and it's yours, at Juliana's it is very fluid. People often share tables, tables get hijacked by others when you are dancing, etc. That can be either good or bad depending on your situation. Juliana's is more edgy, again that can be good or bad. Steer clear of trouble, especially drunken Pinoy. A lot more gals at Juliana's are there looking for extra income, but not all of them. Off duty Mango bar girls will often show up in the wee hours.

Juliana's is maybe a step down from PUMP, with PUMP getting a lot of East Asian visitors.

Once I went to J and Pump on the same night (THursday) and found the ration of women to men better at Pump. I probably wouldn't go to either place on a Friday or Sat. They get crowded.

So not much like Sunflower other than music (Lady Gaga?) and dancing and alcohol and women. Hope that helps. X.

It's a short ride from Mango area and cheap.

X Man's assessment is right on target. Meeting women is much easier at Juliana and the Mango Square area in general. There are a half dozen discos there and have had luck at Auto Shop, Pump II and Beat Club.

As David_33 points out, if you cannot dance, grab a table near the entrance of J, smile and make eye contact. There is also a convenience store across the square with tables where girls hang out. This goes on until sunrise. Many times the later the better. Have woke up at 5:00 am, checked out Juliana and picked up a girl in 15 minutes and have seen heavy-set older foreigners do the same!

Sunflower is a place to take a date nowadays except on Thursday nights (ladies night) as they have a dance contest. The environment there is more pleasant and you pay for that. On the other hand, Club Pump is claustrophobic, dark, with db levels pushing 120 but that can have a certain appeal. They also have tables outside to take a break from the ear shattering beats and to have chats with prospective girls. Located behind the Cebu convention center.
