Same thing for Australian spouse visa's. If you are lucky 2 - 3 months, if your intended has dodgy paperwork can be much more. Trying to import your Pinay on an Aussie Tourist visa? Better show she has a lot of money up front to pay her way whilst in Australia because DIMI will be demanding her to prove it before granting her entry visa.

[/quote]i really don't know where this stuff comes from. all they want to know is that you have money in the bank. where you stay (if you own house, etc.) and how long you have been on your job. they just want some security factor that you will return to your country. most of my friends that come i just have a form letter that i wrote for them to print and take to the consulate (i use the same one just change the dates, person, and consulate info) along with a copy of my passport and state id. keep in mind these are not hookers. of course it would be difficult for a hooker. but this waiting thing? shit, you fill out the paperwork, go down to answer the questions they ask and they tell you yes or no. where does the limbo come in at? i have never experienced this first hand but i have heard it as second hand information. not from any of my friends who have tried to obtain a visa.

Outside of the 'accepted-countries' list (europe/canada), the vast majority of people will have a hard time obtaining a travel visa to the US for just the reasons stated above. What money-in-the-bank are you talking about for poor people (say filipinas or nigerians)? What long-standing quality job can they show that they will return to? Who will be their sponsor in the US? What reason can they show for strongly wanting to return to their original country (this is what Immigration is looking for when granting visas)?

I'm not an expert on Palawan but I would suggest Php6000 for a hotel visit is WAY too much. There is abundant pussy in this country.
