When I was there a few years ago, there was a European chap there crying into his beer over some bar girl who has dumped him after he had spent a small fortune on her. Being a creature of habit I tend to crawl back to places of previous conquests and success, and with that rational the first place I hit up when I had the chance was Nay Nay Star (street 102). Its definitely seen batter days, its getting tired and old BUT the onsite room option is great for the day punter. Got chatting to a petite skinny little spinner that introduced herself as Sreyma. Nice province girl, limited English, my above average Khmer comes in handy, a few drinks and then she lets me know that she can provide me with nice massage and uncovered nyum nyum. Bar fine paid ($10) and upstairs we go. A good session was had, it was by no means mind blowing PSE stuff but she performed well and did all that was required and even got to sneak in a little nap, which I think was as equally high on her agenda and the BBJ was on mine. Unfortunately LE Cyree is one I can't visit at the moment as I am known by the cashier who is a friend of the Mrs. I won't go into the embarrassing story of how I discovered this out last time but unfortunately until I get the scoop that she has moved on that little pearl of a bar isn't the safest bar for me to partake of my hobby in.

Scoured the street 136 places and ended up spending a bit of time in Moon Rise, good place and some damn fine looking girls. For the mongers that find language to be a stumbling block at times I would say from my recent visits that English was spoken by a good selection of the girls and there are some stunner in there. I had some fun, treated the girls nice and even got shouted a drink by a lovely girl there by the name of Ahleak. For what its worth, my two cents worth on the street 51 scene, Golden Sorya mall is a bit of a sad place and probably not for me, I need a bit more privacy due to my situation and a bar during the afternoon offer me that privacy. I sat at black cat one afternoon and it was quiet funny watching the same 3 or 4 girls stalking street 51 walking up and down tirelessly between GSM and Walkabout but never actually going into to Walkabout. I paid one quick one beer visit to Walkabout, and the place never changes, I guess its like the old 'shooting fish in a barrel' clich, it is what it is and from a finance perspective you probably save $20, that is the girls are generally available for $20ST, and no cost of bar fine or lady drink so you can get you load unleashed for $20 as apposed to the standard $40 for ST with girls from hostess bars ($30 for the girl, $10 for the barfine). I don't want to get into or start a pricing debate here, I've just posted these prices as a guide for any new Phnom Penh visitors. Anyone reading this who has experience in this city knows that there are a reasonable number of factors depending upon, how many bar fines the girl has had in recent times, if the girl likes you (this will influence the price), your ability to impress with speaking Khmer and so on and so forth.

Hope this makes reasonable reading and is of use to new punters to Phnom Penh. And to close, a question, I have visited a fish bowl a couple of times on previous visits which had a not too bad selection, the place is on street 252 close to the crn of street 63. Can anyone tell me if it is still operating as I ran out of time to drop in? On fishbowls, are there any other that have sprung up or can anyone report and list some worth checking out?

From entering club to entering guesthouse it can take less than 10 min. Nice and straightforward!

They also had a big poster saying the hotel is not a brothel. The hotel I stayed in Siem Reap asked $15 for extra person, but they said it is for breakfast. I argued, the girl argued saying we don't need breakfast but to no avail. Other than these two I might have stayed in four other hotels and none had this problem. So it varies and better to check beforehand.

So is that still negotiable?

In my understanding at least ST should be negotiable to 20 or 25 $.

Great location by the Riverfront, about $ 60 a night with the rooms in the back being quiet. They also have a great swimming pool.
