Two calls to Yuki:

I called the number listed for the mamasan and asked for direction. A girl answered but was clueless as to what I am talking about. Perhaps she doesn't trust me??? I specifically asked her if this is a KTV and she said no. I spoke mandarin of course. Don't know if anyone else tried.

Also tried Tai-Zhi Sauna next to Sun Yat-shen Memorial Park on Fu-Xin South Road. They have a lot of pretty girls standing in the lounge area. They offered facial for $2500 and massage for $2000. Both were decent but pricy compared to other sauna in Taipei. They don't seem to have full service offered. Anyone else had any luck there?

Samter - no, there is no "141" service in Taipei. I also usually stay at the Taipei Sheraton. As written previously in the forum, the only option for you is to find the newspaper that is distributed in the hotel an in the classified you will find several "massage" agencies. Call up they usually speak English if you do not speak Chinese. Tell them what you want, where you are and stick to the NT$3000 per hour price. The bad thing is that usually after the deed the girl want to pack it in an leave - good luck

While not a "monger" location i feel the folks at hooters are in some way akin to the chaps which frequent this site, so i though i would provide a quick guide of this fine eating establishment - which some in china call the "Restaurant of the Sacred Owl", i like the sacred bit.
Location : Name & Phone - Hooters of Taipei - 011-886-2-2716-5186 - Address : No. 1 Lane 16 Chingcheng St. Taipei, TW. Its very close to the Nanking E Rd Underground station (MTR) - if you start at the MTR and walk up Chingcheng St, you will quickly see it to your right.
Its very similar to the Singapore hooters - girls are nice and friendly, speak reasonable English and are happy to have their photo taken. There are always a lot of laowai's - but also a surprising number of local couples and even children occasionally. There is the typical happy hour and at 9pm they start the hula hoop shows - which is interesting to watch for a while.
I have never seen any lady's of the night either in the restaurant or outside - so this is not a mongering spot - just a place to warm up before you head down to carnigies or the grand hyatt.

I visited your fine city last week, and hit the AsiaWorld spa (next to the Holiday Inn) late Friday night. This place has been written about by others, and I won’t repeat the standard service/routine previously described, but I wanted to share an interesting experience.

After hitting the Jacuzzi and sauna rooms, and a few (complimentary) smokes in the lounge area, I agreed to the special massage. A nice buxom gal gave me a 20 minute rub down, then turned the lights down and proceeded with the more personal portion of the massage. Just as the rubber was literally about to hit the road, as she was sitting on top and guiding Junior in for entry, a lady on the loudspeaker came on and shouted something about "code 900" (or something like that). My gal jumped off and grabbed her clothes and told me to put my clothes on, and she ran out of the room. This place was being raided! Visions of me being in a line up, dressed in an AsiaWorld robe, ran through my head, as well as wondering how I would explain this to the missus. Anyway, I put on the robe and ran back down to the lounge.

Everyone else was pretty relaxed, so I followed suit and sat in the lounge and had a few more smokes and drinks. After waiting about 60 minutes, just as I was about to leave, they came by and asked if I wanted to continue the massage. I did, and got great service, including a scrotal massage with hot oil while being rimmed – it was truly an indescribable pleasure.

Anyway, my gal told me that AsiaWorld gets raided on a regular basis, and that there is nothing to worry about if everyone is dressed and the gal and customer are not alone in the same room. Apparently, their customers all know the drill, to chill in the lounge for about an hour until the fuzz leave, and it's back to business as usual.

This is just for future reference, for guys like me who get caught with their pants down.

Sorry, guys - did not make it to Rainbow KTV on this trip so no new details. Went only to another higher-end KTV called Paradise (same owner as Red Horse). The quality of the girls is even better than Red Horse but no special services on-site. Most of the girls this time spoke some English. Takeout was quoted at NT8000 for ST and NT12000 for LT. Too steep for me.

Friday evening I head out to West Gate for the first time, after reading posting in this board. Arrive there and found this place just like Shibuya of Tokyo! Lots of youngsters and students. Only difference is I don't see any touts like what I see in Japan. Walked around and spotted some young girls hanging around (always in Pairs or threes) looking at people passing by. I suspected they are those mentioned by "Korean" in the above posting. So I decided to try doing eye to eye contact skills. It does not work, may be is because I am local looking. So I decided to use the second method; "Speak like a foreigner". I approached two of my suspect hanging aroung one corner and ask the question "Excuse me, can you help me? I am a bit lost, can you tell me where can I find the best place for dinner?" I spoke Mandarin purposely with a American assence. Immediately I see the eyes of these two girls brighten up. We exchanged conversation, ended up bringing these two girl for a dinner and back to my hotel. NT1000 each for ST. I am not sure I am paying too much because I can't find pricing of students in this board.

Any fellow monger who have these expericence please advise.
