As for me, in the very distant past I've ordered stuff online from the US and used package forwarding services to remove all invoices and packaging material, mix it with many other items I've ordered and of course write some vague descriptions in the shipping labels. Visited Jeddah for the first time last month for a work trip. Wow, I've never seen a place so devoid of P4 P action in my life. I had low expectations, but wow. The only saving grace was Filipina Overseas Foreign Workers. Chatted up a few ladies on an Asian dating site and only one ended up being able to go out and night and meet me. She was able to spend the night and come and go without any hassles from the hotel, so it all worked out fine. You just really need to get your ducks in a row before arrival.

There's basically nothing in the way of tourism there, though it seems the Kingdom is relaxing some rules and trying to attract visitors. Until they allow alcohol and actually put up some English or other foreign language signage on their historic sites, I don't think they'll have much luck. The one nice thing is, there's no thought or concern about crime whatsoever. There is some litter here and there but no graffiti or signs of crime at all. So there's that.

Did not opt Arabs yet. So far I felt it to be safe. Of course, if you can wait and go to Bahrain / Dubai, that's the best.

I would think that having a lot of strangers coming and going from an apartment or house would bring unwelcomed attention, especially since Riyadh has a lot of police. What areas of Riyadh has providers?

Or someone else but nevertheless it helps if you be discreet about it.

Just an update, I was in Riyadh for 2 weeks in Sept staying in popular hotel chain.

I see that are really relaxing rules (incl head scarf coverage) and employing aplenty young asian girls (mostly philipinos / Indonesians) in all departments including front desk and restaurants.

I was able to connect exchange whatsapp numbers with 2 of them but sadly I couldn't convert them to a meeting due to time constraints.

If you do not have such contacts, from my experience the only way of safely getting hooked in Saudi is to try random girls / ladies smiling at you for your luck, exchange numbers and arrange a pvt place to meet, whether paid or unpaid.
