It's also a very different demographic when it comes to the customer base. Thermae had very few if any Asian customers in 1999. And the girls were there to party and have fun for the most part. Pretty much every girl had a drink in her hand and there would always be girls dancing by the jukebox. And as I said in my previous post they were quite aggressive, which I think for the most part Western guys prefer. You'd do a lap, get propositioned, and at least three or four girls would grab your unit. I thought it was wonderful. But when the coffee shop at the Siam City hotel on Petchaburi Rd closed, it was the Asian Thermae for those of you who don't know, the Asian punter crowd migrated to Thermae and if I became significantly more subdued, and in my opinion nowhere near as fun. And there began to be gals that wouldn't go with Western guys. Funny there were some that would but they didn't want their friends or the Asian punters to see them doing it, so they would meet you outside. The main Asian demographic at that time with Japanese and of course that has changed significantly. But I will throw this out there, I don't think Asian punters prefer girls to be incredibly slutty and aggressive like many of us Western guys do. They prefer a more demure wallflower, which I find incredibly boring. Always like gals that are aggressive and can talk dirty, and I used to find copious amounts of them in Thermae.

One post mentions part timers. Rent was always do on the 5th of the month, and if you went on the weekend before you'd find scads of office girls and other semi pros who were looking to make a little more for rent. And most of these girls were selective and were a lot of fun. Of course I was a young early 30's guy then and was one of the youngest guys in the scene at that time, so I had an incredibly good time with the part-timers. There were several occasions when a girl would drive us to the short time hotel in the car she was trying to get money to make payments on. It was truly a wonderful scene and a wonderful era. I'm so grateful I caught the tail end of it.

I tried searching but couldn't find a place for massage.

How about.

1. Got myself a monthly stay in a university dorm that is coed.

2. 1 km away walk to a 5 star gym where celebrities work out for less than $25 a month. Pool / Sauna / Yoga / Dance / Gym / Boxing and more. All coed. And I go everyday.

3. Gym located in a 8+ floor mall full of university students and food galore.

4. Cheaper street food still everywhere at student prices.

5. Hotels that some these students bang out of is all within walking distance. Price less than 1000.

The coed university dorm is the difference maker. They trust me LOL. Big cities can be fun.

Just spent a week and a half in Bangkok and it was awesome. Girlfriend was here for first 4 days and then I had a week by myself. While she was here we had a couples massage at Aya massage. One of the few benefits of my advancing age is that I had the opportunity to see Thermae and Thailand when I did. But as a visitor, it is still a great place to visit now.

This is also the reasoning behind the farang tax so many places charge. The Asian guys looking for hot starfish don't care if her eyes are even open. Going in and asking for this and that is a turn off, especially for a really hot girl that is used to doing next to nothing. Sorry, it's not because of your big Johnson, it's because you want or expect too much. I've confirmed this so many times over the last 30 years with mamas and girls that I've lost count. The answer has remained the same even as the faces have changed.

When the demographic changed in the mid to late 00's, so did the behavior of the gals working there. Western men were no longer the main target audience. Now I must admit, I prefer lighter skin and fairer East Asian looks, but I want them nasty. And that's a unicorn these days.
