It is pretty obvious that the taxi driver was trying to rip you off, he didn't take you to chicas lindas because he was getting no kick back for the things you were buying there, use the map that people have used from this forum or get a good tour guide, BTW tell me more about your wingman from Medellin I have friends going there soon
after our experience that first night, we were prepared this time. same routine, but this time, the driver took us to chica linda. there were also a few other strip clubs next to it, such as bar cacique, and a few others.
the facilities did not look as nice as in pleyclub, but the line up was just as good. it was not too difficult to find some cuties. i ended picking evelyn from medellin, and my wingman picked up another chick from medellin. they quoted us 90k pesos, much better deal than at pleyclub. my girl was a lot of fun, with plenty of dfk. she was eager to please. i noticed that bbbj is not the norm here but i did not care much for it. unless a girl is good at it, i am usually not interested in bbbj. some girls gave me cbj without me asking, but i could not careless about that either. however, i had to promise a good tip before girls would agree to dfk, and often times they were reluctant kisser. one of them even asked me how much tips i was going to give her.
we liked chica linda so much that we went back the following day. i picked natalia, from medellin. she was a winner as well, tall, curvy, friendly, nice smile, and generous with dfk. i had another great time. my wingman was also happy with the girl he took.
also. 3 nights in a row, we did strip club followed by ldv. i picked up there carina from baranquilla, lia from medelin, catalina from cali. ldv has a been rather a disapointment. except for carina, the others came across as hard core wgs, nice in the club but all business once in the hotel room. also, the club seems to charge a hidden bar fine. every girl insisted that she had to have 70k worth of drinks before she can leave the club. and, their starting price was around 350k pesos for short time, pretty hefty. even though there were some real eye candy there, i thought the pricing structure was too high and too confusing. i usually don't like to haggle, but i have to admit that i had fun.
we meant to try some fls at the beach but we were not too successful. we did not spend too much time at the beach, as it was too hot. we also did not locate tony the tout, mostly because we did not try too hard. we were pretty satisfied with our routine in the evening. we did meet 2 fls in boca grande, but one of them appeared **** and we did not want to take any chances.
my wingman has something against the casas. he seems to think they are not much fun, so we did not try any. when we were in medellin, i had a good time at the casas, new life in particular.

As a result, we stayed at the Hotel Medellin Plaza, also known as the Mansion & Castillo (2 houses). This worked great for us, as there was quite a bit of folks knowledgeable and willing to help, such as Boyd and Fernando. We arrived smack in the middle of Easter week, so they saved our butt by helping us with our mongering activities. Hence, we hit the ground running, and within a few days, we became very comfortable with all the mongering activities there.

Lefeu are you still here? Would be cool to link up, or if anyone else is here on the hobby please do tell. I'm staying in the old town and not seeing any of these places yet, but have to do a bit of walking around, and probably more research too. Any tips appreciated, thanks.

Wow, it loks like you spent a fair amount of time on this. And that you were in Cartagena a while. I take it you liked it?
I'm wondering how this city compares to Medelin for this hobby. So far, I haven't been impresed with Cartagena. It seems overun with backpackers and super agresive touts (I'm not a bad speler. Keyboard is mesed up, from this humidity I think.)
Last night, a couple of guys tried to get me to go to a strip club, and actualy folowed me through the streets at some point, reapearing an hour later: "Remember us?" Not the experience you want your first night in Colombia.
Just right now, this guy cursed me out be / see I didn't want to hear his pitch. We exchanged profanities in English and I walked away.
Now I know I shouldn't let a few bad aples spoil the bunch. But in my experience, this is what hapens when there's s too damn any tourists. Is Medelin a beter experience, in terms of interacting with the local populace and for the chicas as wel? There's ben so much street crap and I haven't even goten to the chicas.
I think I understand yr feeling. Ypu still need to understand how and where to move there. I have some suggestions.
Read MANY MANY pages of this forum. Go back reading for months or better years. Skip short comments and read long informative reports (yes, also mine LOL). Start from the RoD section.
Avoid Dulce Vida, Pleyclub, and touts on the Holliwood beach, a. K. A. The infamous Tony. I would avoid also Isis. Fun is different.
At night, dress well. Do not be confused with backpackers. Have a look at Colombian guys hanging out at night with girls. They are dressed with pricey clothes and are HANDSOME. Yes, there could be competition.
Think that this is not a brothel. Prepagos DO CHOOSE their company. If you are handsome are dressed decently, a girl will probably be keen to lower her first standard rate (150k / hr, that is ST, that is 1 shot). If she does not like you, she might ask more and will not negotiate.
Above all, Fun in CTG is EXPENSIVE! :-(
Said all this, in CTG I have had some of the most exciting and memorable adventure of my life. I cant wait to be back.

Sit in the ones that are red with a Coca Cola logo. Ask him where are the chicas. Don't buy pina coloatas and say," No gracias" when the touts come by and act uninterested. Pay attention the groups of girls sitting there are more than likely putas.

A group of about 12 of us are headed to Cartagena for first time in end of May. I have seen different advice in regards to where to go for putas / tuts. Some of you suggest going to places like prey club while others suggest just going to clubs like Dulce Vida. What time to things really get started on the weekend? 10 or 11 or midnight? Are the girls from prey club allowed to leave to party outside that spot or do you have to pay some fee to take these girls outside of the club? Also what are the prices reallly some have quoted 100$ to 150$ for 1hour while others are quoting 50-75$. Does it matter what day meaning Friday / Saturday vs Sunday / Monday?
Also we plan on going to the beach on a Sunday afternoon. Is playa Hollywood the place to go to meet the chicas as one of the links suggested.
I'm just trying to figure out what is the best plan of attack for a group this big. Does anyone know a driver- preferably bus that could take us around at night? We plan on using Fabio for the first night.

Vans with bi lingual drivers / tour guides, both male and female are available. Some time a group like yours does well the hire a boat loaded with beers and girls and take a day to the islands. There are a lot of great activities available for a bachelor party here in Cartagena. Both cultural and party type. These kinds of activity can take some time to arrange.
Just let me know if you would like to set some activitys up in advance of your arrival.

So came into town for a bachelor party. I have been here many times. It was my 3 friends first. I was to be their guide. They did not like Juan's accomodations. We walked into Hotel Caribe and they got a 2BR suite with a junior suite for a shade under 2. 000. 000 for 2 nights! I was fine with Juan's place. The bus boy told me the chica fee is 120. 000.
We stopped by Cafe Del Mar for dinner. A lot of families. Saw some hot chicks at the bar. Is that where the working girls are? I recall someone suggesting to ask security?
Next stop was Pley Club. Taxi drivers were all over the board. From 25k to $10 but settled on 12k. Is this the going rate from Del mar? A nice selection at Pley Club, albeit a lot of silicone. They quoted 220k on premises and 600k to leave for a couple hours (including salida). It was begining to sound like a Union because most have the same quote going. We got a couple of numbers to call during the day. One hardcore one wouldn't hang during the day. Anyways, I suggested LDV. We had been at Pley Club since 10 and it was about 11:30 now.
Taxi driver wanted 17k to Laguito. Is this the rate? The guys were getting a bit tired of haggling taxi drivers so we just agreed. Happened to find one that speaks English. He said he worked at Pley Club and Isis on the side. He suggested Isis first for less silicone. All the while bashing LDV saying that they were basically street working girls. Untested with Aids. Also mentioned the drugging a while back. Anyway Isis was dead. About 10 girls and 3x as many guys. In and out we head over to LDV.
Lots of chicas many doable. The union was in full force asking for about 200-250k short time and 500k TLN. Most agreed to go for 400k. I forgot to try asking for 100k-150k like some say is possible. I speak Spanish as did one of the other guys and still quoted those rates. Apparently, the rumors of a bar fine is true! We tried to leave and they wanted 1 bottle minimum per girl! We picked 3 girls and they agreed to 1 and a half bottles (we only bought one) so we ordered another half. I asked one of my amigas this and she confirmed that a bottle or 100k minimum drink minimum. I picked a girl I knew from a previous trip and she just walked out. I guess the trick is to get her number and have her meet you around the corner to avoid this barfine hassle.
