This goes to say not all people who come up to you hawking something are evil there. So many times people say that the people on the street are going to scam but it's not true. Sure there are definitely a good percentage, but not all. You have to have common sense obviously and I know Westcoast is referring to people in Harrison's but same can be said for outside the street also. If you can't really handle yourself, then just don't talk to those people then.

OK LWP. I sent you a PM too to clarify my points made in an earlier post.

I use the word "hitting" because that's the word the girls use when anybody (especially a foreigner) starts talking to them without a proper introduction lol.
We might think we are being smooth and suave with the silver tongue (like WR).
They call it "hitting on".

Shangri-la Mall does not like having pick-up girls on the premises. I have a friend married to a lady-guard there and the guards are under instructions to watch out for "that sort of thing".
My main purpose in questioning your success at SM Megamall or Shangri-la Mall was NOT to protect my own patch but to warn newbies that not all malls are open season on girls.
We all know Robinson's Malate and Harrison Mall are pick-up places with girls being very obvious. I have been approached by women in Greenbelt on occasions at all times of the day too, but I have also been there on dozens of other times and not seen any hint of available women.

As LWP notes, he never actually scored in Megamall - he just managed to get some numbers for next time that may or may nor prove fruitful.

I always meet DIA girls in the mall coffee shop. It is protection for me as much as her. From this aspect alone these women are "available" but some are very leery of approaching or engaging in chat with foreigners. If you have "game" then go for it, but be careful you pick a woman who will not run to the nearest security guard and report you for God-knows-what.

But I would never hit on any girls just look, smile etc and see if a connection. As RK says meet in the coffee shop first (and hope they dont bring the family..then meet in Jollibee). Some that I have chatted with do meet me in the hotel but by then the R&R has been well established :D

When I was there it was closed and the front door was boarded up. Being Manila it would not surprise me if it opens again as perhaps it was just late paying a bribe but last week when I was there it was definately closed for business.

I can't believe you thought that this would some how end well. Your report pretty much sums up what I thought would have happened.

I'll try to keep this brief. At the last minute, my boss has decided to join me for at least part of my trip to PH. We will arrive tomorrow evening. The problem is this: my boss is somewhat of a monger, but he's mid-60s, Chinese, and he wouldn't last a minute in EDSA or on Burgos, etc. What the fuck am I going to do with him for however long he's here? Any suggestions for me? I know that PH isn't really a "massage/sauna house" destination, which is what he's used to in China and Taiwan. I have no idea where to take him or what direction to point him in. I shudder to think of dragging his ass to the Dollhouse or Rogues. As I said, he's totally used to the sauna house routine or ordering room service. On top of that, he's definitely not a "looker" himself but always wants top quality. Is there some sort of sauna house scene or at least top notch location in Makati where he'll be happy?

Here's some answers to your questions but you can read more in the individual forums (in which I will post the latest updates from my diaries which will hopefully help you too).

1. The action area in Cebu is on Gen Maxilom Avenue, opposite Iglesia ni Cristo church. In which case, Beverley Boutique is the hotel for you (formerly Eddies) as it's just a one minute walk away. Details in my report (which I'll probably post over the weekend).

2. Borocay has very little action but girls can be found. To be honest, I didn't look too hard (having a break from girls when I went there) but I went to Cocomangas bar a few nights and found it very easy to talk to girls.

3. Puerto Galera - I will post my report later for this. Stay in Sabang and don't worry about which hotel - it's such a small place they're all in walking distance of the gogo bars. It's only a small 'scene' (i.e 6 bars I think) but I thought the quality of girls in Sabang's gogo bars was quite impressive.

4. In terms of getting the whorism/tourism mix - Puerto Galera has a small scene but is good for diving/boat trips, Cebu has a bigger (more exciting) scene, some beaches and is close to Chocolate Hills, whereas Borocay is pretty much just a nice beach and a few discos. Angeles on the other hand, is an out-and-out whorism destination.
