However, having passed by both Kasalong and Wood Bar several different nights lately, the line up at Wood Bar has to be the most atrocious group of unfortunate physical specimens I have ever seen within 20 meters of a P4 P venue anywhere on the planet. They make at least 3-4 ladies sitting outside of Kasalong and Lolitas look like Victoria's Secrer models by comparison.
But even that said, I suppose it is always possible the 2-3 remotely acceptable providers at Wood Bar or any of its competitors could always happen to be busy upstairs and out of sight every time I have walked by in the past few weeks.
And, admittedly, for some punters how a BJ Bar provider looks is immaterial. Not for me. But for some, I understand. In which case, Wood Bar is taking the concept to beyond outer space.
And, allowing for those same qualifiers, I sent a Line message to a fellow punter just last night that on that particular night, Thursday, February 13, I had seen some of the best lookers freelancing up and down Soi 4 than I had seen in a long time. And dozens of them on the stroll or standing at a particular spot from Sukhumvit all they way down and somewhat past the Soi 4/ Soi 6 intersection.
Really. It was as though a sizable percentage of the top 20-30% of lookers in the Nana Plaza gogo bars had donned their street clothes and decided to give a "no LD and no Barfine" option a spin for the night.
I can't say anything of the kind about the array of FLs on Soi 4 Tuesday night, Monday night or any time last week. And I have no idea if the phenomenon will repeat itself this night, Friday February 14. But last night was a standout looks-wise.
Las Vegas GoGo Bar on Soi 4
The new "gogo" bar on Soi 4, now called Las Vegas, reported to be the 1st gogo bar ON the Soi and not INSIDE Nana Plaza, opened last night.
About 8 pm, I was told by the thoroughly doable late 30's hostess I agreed to go inside with that I was the first customer on their first night to enter the place.
I celebrated by being her and our server a LadyDrink. 220 baht each. Small cocktail glass size, not shots in this case. My soda was 130 baht.
I can't relate any other intel at this time regarding barfines and such because I did not broach the topic with my drinking partner. My GF had just an hour or two previously drained me to within an inch of my life and my preferred approach is to not open a discussion about those things with a bargirl unless and until I am really interested and ready to pull the trigger and go. I don't like to bring it up for the sake of idle curiosity.
Anyway, what I can relate about my brief experience last night is there was no "2 LD" scam pulled on me. Of the dozen or so girls inside and sitting outside the bar at least 5 of them were slim, curvy, young and hot. None of them were in bikinis. They were all wearing street clothes, which I imagine is what will be the case due to its location right on Soi 4, between Hooters and Bus Stop, and the fact that several girls at a time will be perched on stools outside the bar.
I'm not sure I would classify it as a "gogo" bar. More of an indoor beer bar I think. There are no chrome poles. In fact, there is no stage. There is only a small LED-decorated patch on the floor in the center of the bar on which the girls and, I was told, customers with or without "dates" can dance.
The vibe was welcoming on this opening night. If I had at least a drop of Love Nectar left in my balls I would have made an effort to see what a barfine and session would be like with one of those hotties. If any was on offer, that is. These days you never know if the idea of it has ever so much as crossed the mind of girls hustling drinks in these venues or if they will recoil in horror by the mere suggestion of it.
