Taking sides
I'm not taking sides here and I don't know who is posting what, and I don't care. I just like to have a laugh when I can. Everybody on this board is my friend and I hope to keep it that way.
Took a tour of the redlight areas of Kota Kinabalu, Borneo, Malaysia. Quality is not as good as China and the prices are much higher. Mostly Filapinas and plenty of ladyboys. But it's still a great place for a vacation if you want to get away from the cold. AirAsia is now doing very cheap direct flights from Macau and will soon be doing flights from Shenzhen and Xiamen.
My thanks to ISG member Bariaking and Mr E for show me around. Cool guys!

Does anyone know what happened to the tom.com chat? Can't find it anymore.
Moreover it like to reaccess Asiafriendfinder.com as I used to meet some great freebies thru this site. But it does not work either. Has anyone the same problem?

QQ seems to work again, even though they have a new shitty policy of only being allowed to contact 10 girls a day.

Chinese airport customs
I am traveling to China for the first time next week. I am considering bringing some sensitive business supplies with me which could cause some issues if customs opens up my bag and is inquisitive. I don't want to get into what I am bringing, but I just want to know, in general, how they are. Is is like most countries where about 5% of bags get opened and very few questions are asked, or should I prepared for a tough screening?

That works in many cases with all kinds of merchandise as long as you don't have many of each.

if you are considering bringing in personal toys... leave them at home. china have many shops that sells them over there. this way you will not get embarass when the custom officer checks your baggage.
china custom officers at airport rarely checks the baggage as you are entering china. they do check carry on as you are leaving china.
good luck

You might have a problem bring it back home. Can you be more specific on what are the items?

China Customs.
China border customs routinely ask you to put your bags on the x-ray machine. If the items you bring show up on their scanner you may have a problem and you will be asked to explain.
If it does not show up there is no checking.
I was taking some machinery supplies and they asked me what it was and I told them I was trying to get a factory to produce them and they cleared me with no problem.
But remember I always go through Hong Kong and they may be more lenient for people coming through Hong Kong.

I have even managed to carry through HIFI stereos, a Herman Miller Chair and a Colour Laser Printer. Each time they let me open the box, inpected everything and let me pass after some discussion. Once I arrived with 5 new and empty Harddisk drives, there was no way I could convince them, so I took it back the next day. There is a storage fee though. In this case it was 40 RMB. (And I have seen many other people rejected the same day. Just a bad day when they were overactive checking.
A problem arises when that happens when you arrive in an airport where you can't just go back and try another border the same day.

I have never been stopped at Pudong airport. But, that is not to say they won't stop you. I have seen people get inspected.
If by "sensitive" you mean illegal, man, I'd avoid it. If by sensitive you mean embarrassing, don't worry about it. If by sensitive you mean a business trade secret, well, you are probably bringing whatever it is to the wrong country! It'll probably get copied while in transit from the cargo hold to baggage claim! :-)
