So it is a separate cost if you want it in the apartment. Even if you are not staying the entire month they still will charge you $75.

The only issue I had at Lincoln Suites was the security deposit. It was quite high. If I remember correctly they wanted $600 or $700 for a 10 day stay. I said to the manager that I thought they'd have problems attracting more visitors with such a hefty deposit. They did return it in dollars after my checkout.[/QUOTE]The security deposit is $800. So for me it is a no go. They ask for too much security as if you are renting the apartment for multiple months. Sometimes it dumb founds me the lack of business common sense I sometimes see in the DR!

I think they have satellite tv and not cable thus the need to install.

Nice thing about the Condominium apartment on the Malecon, where I sometimes stay, no security deposit, I can do early check-in and late check out. I introduced a friend of Koki to the manager of the apartment and that guy has rented the apartment a few times.

If you can visit the Barcelo Santo Domingo after next Wednesday, let me know and I can introduce you to the manager for that apartment.

How much are the condos I will be in Santo Domingo in 2 weeks. I plan to stay with my novia but want a condo or an appartment for three days. I have two other potential chicks that are lista for me. How much are the condos and is this a good time for you to meet me[

Will be traveling to Santo Domingo the day after Christmas.

I will be staying at the Hilton on George Washington Ave. Can anyone tell me there policy on bringing girls in?

If that is a no go, then any suggestions on where to go (brothel) , culb with rooms, something of that sort would be greatly appriciated.

Have been to Costa Rica lately, and know the general going rate, should I expect the same?

I read that a Google map of SD, with clubs, cacas, etc. Was made and posted here somewhere. I have tried to find it since I will be headed there for the first time.

I've been to the DR at least 50 times but only to Santo Domingo twice. I'm giving serious thought to wintering in SDO but really don't know the city. I'm looking for a 3-4 month rental but don't really know what area might be better for a white guy that has the Spanish language skills. Looking for a safe and walkable area both day and night where there might be some grocery stores, restaurants / bars, basically an area where most of what I need is within a half mile or so. Hell, at my age I'm usually in bed by 10:30 pm so I don't need convenience to the 4:00 a. m. nightlife but I insist on an upper scale area. I know its a big city and taxis will be needed from time to time. So given my considerations, put yourself in my shoes guys and please provide some input.
