Purchasing power has decreased a lot. Prices of everything increase every day, so the prices of hanging out are also increasing. Istanbul is far from being a good place to hang out.

For me it is still good value as compared to US / Canada market. And Turkish Airlines has great stopover program, so my ticket to Istanbul is almost free as I make a stopover when going to India, so no need to pay extra for ticket.

Hi there -- new poster in this forum but I have posted countless reports across North / South America, Europe and Asia.

I have also RTTF, which is why I'm posting this. I'm looking for somewhere I haven't been yet in Europe / Northern Africa for a mongering week this July which isn't stupidly expensive. This also brings me to posting this. That eliminates Morocco, Prague, Budapest, Berlin, Vienna, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris and London. I'm also coming from Athens, which also looks not very promising as a play destination.

I had really wanted to hang in Istanbul. But after RingTTF, it seems very expensive (minimum 8 k) and kind of an overall pain in the ass (fucking should be fun, but the reports don't seem all that inspiring). I'm open to poorer countries -- they usually have hotter girls and lower prices.

Suggestions? Where is great and hasn't been overrun with high prices and shitty service yet?
