All the 5 star hotel have Christmas buffet try the Marriot or Dusit or any major hotel in Manila should offer, I have the buffet at the waterfront hotel in Cebu a few ago on Christmas but is not that good.

Stayed there recently on my way into the Philippines. Old and dated would best describe the rooms. Pieces of the wood flooring were coming up all over the floor.
Too bad the owners would not renovate the place as it has a nice location in Ermita and a decent large swimming pool.
The restaurant next door looked about the same, old and tired. Not someplace I would eat.
I think Bay View is a much better value with the breakfast buffet included.

I haven't had a Trop room where the floor was coming up. Usually the room is in working order. But the beds are older, everything is older. I don't get the studio room, I only get the suite. The pool is lovely. The breakfast on the second floor is weak compared to Bayview. Its more an apartment complex for locals, not so much a hotel like Bayview. Also its full a lot, make reservation in advance. The differences are: Trop is a 1-minute walk from Robinson's, and Trop is girl-friendly. Really, try waltzing 3 separate girls into Bayview in a 24-hour period, and see how they respond. They will make you sign-in or register each girl at the front desk. They will inform you (in front of the second/third girl) that this is not the first girl you brought into the hotel today, and they will inform you that the current girl is not eligible for the breakfast in the morning. Quite embarrasing if girl #2-3 is your real gf/wife. At the Trop, you get smiles from the doormen for bringing in stunners, multiples, or sequentials in the same day.

At the Trop two years ago I brought 5 (count 'em -- five) girls up to my room one night at 1am, who spent the night (not all in my bed). Nobody said anything about having 'extra' guests. PM me, I have the pics of it (and the wild story that goes with it -- and the following night). You won't be able to do that at Bayview.

MANILA, Philippines—A prosecutor has recommended the dismissal of a [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord908][CodeWord908][/url] charge filed against the owner of a cafe in Ermita, Manila, which was believed to be a prostitution front.

In a resolution penned by Assistant City Prosecutor Sharon Alamada-Magayanes of the Manila Prosecutor’s Office dated Oct. 8, she noted that there was not enough evidence to show that Anselmo Candado, owner of LA Cafe, was involved in prostitution.

In his motion for dismissal, Candado had insisted that the activities inside his establishment were legitimate.

Shut down in June

The cafe was ordered closed by Mayor Alfredo Lim in June after dozens of women suspected to be sex workers were rescued by the police from the establishment.

Of the employees rounded up, two were found to be minors who testified that they were working as prostitutes.

The operation was carried out by the police following months of surveillance and undercover operations conducted by International Justice Mission, a human rights nongovernment organization.

3 charged

The assistant prosecutor, however, filed charges of [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord908][CodeWord908][/url] against Randy Panganiban, Irene Bugay and Beata Shilhab.

The charges were based on the testimony of Jerry Anne Ismael, 18, who said she had approached Shilhab and Bugay for a job in the Middle East.

She added that the two took her to Panganiban whose girlfriend, Lilia Montilla, the cafe’s floor manager, offered her a job as a sex worker.

The charges against the three were filed with the Manila Regional Trial Court on Oct. 27.

The three were accused of conspiring to [lure] Ismael into prostitution inside the café “under the pretext of overseas employment” and “taking advantage of her vulnerability.”

Wow..freebie where do you get that energy and drive to keep going...i always have issues keeping up with the energy level in PH...im always kinda tired...i have missed sure shot dates in malls and bars...

On my last days in PH..i had become so jaded that i only dated with girls who agreed to come to my condo on first meeting..i got lots of who do you think im....loser, get lost comments..i don't know may be its the food or water... mentally im prepared to go ..but physically, i could only do one activity at a time may be either visa renewal or paying the bills ..i cant then date and have fun all night...back home...im doing workouts now and feeling healthy and ready to go..not sure how long it will last in PH :(

I guess my philosophy is that I would rather enjoy my time in Manila than spend it sleeping.
