First Solo Trip to BKK – Looking to Make the Most of It
Hey all,
Heading to Bangkok next week (Monday to Friday) for a work conference, but I've extended the trip a few days to explore and enjoy the city a bit — first solo trip, so pretty excited.
I've been reading through the forum and taking in the advice, but I wanted to sanity-check a few things with the more experienced folks here:
From what I've gathered, bar girls usually go for around 2000–2500 baht short time, plus the bar fine (around 500–1000). Does that still sound about right these days?
I've also been active on ThaiFriendly and have connected with a few freelancers. Most are quoting 3000–4000 baht, which seems a bit higher than bar girls. Is that pretty standard now?
I'm definitely planning to video verify before meeting, especially with the FLs.
I'm not the negotiating type — I feel like it ruins the vibe — but should I be pushing back on quoted prices at all, or just accept it if it feels fair? I don't want to get taken for a ride, but I also want to keep things smooth and enjoyable.
Since this might be one of those "once in a while" opportunities (though let's be honest, it probably won't be the last)., I'the like to try the full experience: soapies, freelancers, bar girls, and maybe even a ladyboy if the vibe is right.
Would really appreciate any tips, red flags to watch out for, or places you recommend — especially for a first-timer trying to keep it fun and safe. Hotel is guest-friendly and located in Sukhumvit.
Thanks in advance!
My last visit couple of months back
When CH 1st opened its doors around 2014, it easily had the best-looking girls on Cowboy and it instantly became a favorite go go of mine and many other like-minded punters. Go back and read the glowing reports. But slowly over the years their lineup declined on account of attrition and their failure to recruit new quality talent. I don't know about you, but watching 2 or 3 fat, tattooed girls dance naked is not a turn on for me. Thus by 2019 I had lost interest in Crazy and hardly stopped by there anymore even though I was friends with fat mama and everybody knew me and treated me like a VIP.
Anyway, I really hope things have gotten better at CH since covid although I have my doubts. 555. Still, I could not visit BKK and not stop by to check things out because once upon a time Crazy House was my favorite Go Go in BKK. Memories.
The line up was nice. I went twice. I liked it, will visit again for sure an and when I am in BKK.
