The whole purpose of the yellow taxis was to raise the profile of the airport transport business and to prevent the scams including hijackings etc that were prevalent when the regular cabs were allowed to operate.
I use yellow cabs regularly in Manila and I have NEVER had any problem.
You should have a trip ticket handed to you by the despatcher when you leave the terminal, and it has the yellow cab registration number and a telephone number to call if you have any problem.
If you allowed your "asshole" to get away with it then he will do it again.
I know one of the owners of the yellow cab consortium, and he would dismiss immediately any driver who tried this on, as there are many guys who want to be yellow cab drivers.

huh. few notes from this trip. cebu has never been a good hunting spot for me. i realise i haven't given this city the respect and time it deserves but this is largely due to my circumstances. i have it good in manila and ac so cebu for me turns into a 3-4 day side trip that is nowhere near enough to get the best out of the city. its also hard to follow up on ac when it comes to p4p or manila when it comes to nightlife p4p or anything really. one is a city of 20 mil another of 700k. i know many regulars would probably disagree with what i write here but i think cebu is a city of average. average nightlife, average beaches, average food, average accommodation. its cheaper then manila so thats another attraction. i still think the best looking cebuanas in the p4p scene are in manila or ac. burgos has far more beautiful cebuanas then any of the bars in cebu and if you really want to find a top notch cebuana just go to angel witch in ac. i went to most bars on my second night and i found 1 that i would barfine. thats it folks only one. in sm mall i saw few nice girls but nothing special. i got few smiles but not even close to the action you have in malate. julianas has gone down in quality and so have the other discos around mango square. if i have to rate them i would put them on part with mbc with far far far less stock even quality for a friday night. again price is cheaper, girls drinks, entry fees (compared to manila discos) and so on. overall i say give it a shot before you go to manila or ac, stay at last 10 days to make it work and perhaps not a bad place to retire. for less time then that go elsewehere.

Here is the problem that I discovered on a recent trip. Most of us use either P4P, or dating site contacts. Prior to that trip, I was batting 99% with dating site contacts. Cebu is a great destination for normal, dating site girls. Ofcourse if on meeting they might not be interested in you irrespective of what they promised in chat. The main area I visited was Mango Avenue. About 500 meters away from Mango Square there are around 12 bars.
Drinks are not expensive. 50 pesos average.
Lady drink about 120 pesos.
If you to take a lady out it costs 1. 800 – 2. 000 pesos.
Not high quality but you can find some of them very beautiful.
Hotels are cheaper than Angeles City and Manila.
I recommend you to look for accommodation around Mango Square, Ramos Street.
I stayed in Diplomat Hotel, room cost 1. 400 pesos without breakfast.
A little nearer to the area it is Holiday Inn Plaza hotel, room cost 1. 800 pesos with a very nice breakfast (for one person, breakfast for two people it costs 2. 000 pesos)
No problem to get the lady inside in any of them.
