Visiting BKK for my birthday
Hi,
I am visiting BKK and phuket for my birthday and was after some BKK recommendations and expected costs. I have already arranged for a 25 yr to stay with me for 24 hours at 5000 which I thing was a good price. Can you recommend any other ladies that are young and don't mind westerners.
Suvarnabhumi to Sukhumvit
Before covid ID stay at novotel suvarnabhumi and go to sukhumvit a lot. Must have gone from airport to novotel soi 20 about ten times too.
Each cab have their own way of getting there but don't sweat the small stuff. Tell them meter on and relax. Can land between 350 to 450 but honestly just relax. Even if its 500 ok. You're going to pay 2000 minimum for 1 HR at tulip double for a bargirl. Let the drivers make their meagre income.
I always arrive during the daytime. After a couple rather negative experiences with cab drivers ten or more years ago, I started taking the Airport Rail Link from Suvarnabhumi to the end, the Phaya Thai stop on the BTS (aka Sky Train). Then the BTS to the Ploen Chit stop right near my hotel. Cost is 45 baht for the Airport Rail Link and I get a day pass on the BTS so I can take several trips the rest of the day. Ten years ago, the Airport Rail Link was not heavily used; now it is very full. And by taking the rail link and BTS, I feel like I'm getting into the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The saving is not the point, but it is a fixed price. The advantage is that I don't have to deal with the taxi drivers, many of whom are scoundrels.
