Ok. Yes I am biased because I simply know more Filipinos from all walks of life. You felt the locals in PI lied a lot what type of Filipinos were you around? The hookers/taxi drivers? Yes the Philippines is more dangerous then Thailand. Any fool can see that but I have been going to PI for the last 4 years and now have a beautiful home there. Have never had any problems. I don’t wear my jewelry there though as I do in Thailand for obvious reasons. I walk down the street late at night at and never been robbed or anything got chased by some stray dogs but that was about it :)

Not going to quote the entire report here.. but I'll chime in. And it's all subjective on who you meet. I travel through Manila and BKK often for many years now.

PI and Thai are very different ladies from the way they live to the way they screw. PI it is so very easy to pick up non pro's, average every day girls, students, nurses, unemployed etc... Go to CB and you'll have a long list of girls. I don't think Catholic enters into the picture too much as even if they are Catholic they still screw like rabbits. Even picking up girls from malls / work / food courts is a piece of cake in MNL whereas good luck doing that in BKK. And there are girls that would do anything for me in MNL however there are some girls in BKK that would do anything for me also and do do everything. Knowing how to approach them includes language skills because sometimes they dont know WTF your trying to tell them with bad thai language skills which probably sounds to their ears like jibberish. Thai's don't necessairly lie, They, like most Orientials, will tell you yes when they mean no as a way to save face. It's a cultural thing and they don't consider it lying.

And yes, most Thai's are just as honest as anyone else. However, when you get to the lower income strata they are more likely to relieve you of your possessions if you are not careful. But the same is true for just about anywhere else in the world.
