It's a well-known fact that all Nordeste, from Salvador to Sao Luis, abounds with short and ugly girls, yet it's especially true for Fortaleza and Recife.

Para and Amazona are not better.

Even if some states like SP, Goias, Parana, ect, have a decent ratio of good-looking girls, I personnaly find that Brasil is in its whole *largely* over-rated when it comes to the attractiveness of the female population.

That is your opinion and we have to respect it but I totally disagree with you.

My opinion is that Brazil is a monger destination without match in the world and everybody needs to experience it at least once in their life.

In Europe the hookers who have more demand are brazilian and for you to say that SP, Goias and Parana have "a decent ratio of godd looking girls" is another opinion that I don't share but respect.

Goiana is GREAT not just decent that is what I was saying and the same goes for Sao Paulo and the other cities you mentioned if you know your way around you will get something of quality.

You said yourself on your report on Goiana that it was a good city for mongering and I agreed with you on that and that's why I said it was a hidden gem.

I still think is a great mongering destination as well as the other cities you mentioned.

This is what this forum is for, everybody can have their opinion the places that you say have a decent ratio olf good looking girls to me they have an excellent ratio.

Rio has the edge in girls. One of the reasons is there are so many more girls. Also many of the girls in the top Rio termas are knockouts. But there are still many good looking girls in Fortaleza. There are similar looks as in Rio, with a lot of tanned girls with dyed blond hair, but it looks good on them. Of course, if you only like light skinned natural blondes, then the northeast is not for you. Rio doesn't have many of them either. But many of the "programa" girls in Rio look like that, since many come from the northeast. When I went in '03 and '05 programa girls in Fortaleza were probably a little more than half the price compared to Rio. An all niter in Rio was usually too expensive, but not in Fortaleza, at least the two times I went.

As I've said, I have been to Fortaleza twice, about a total of 3 weeks. I have never met a male tourist there who said the girls there were bad looking. Anyone who said that would have been laughed at. The subject never even came up! But then I read these posts and I am amazed.

I am not saying that Fortaleza is overflowing with knockouts. Don't expect playboy bunnies all over the place. I am just saying that there are many good lookers there, expecially in Iracema. You will also see some good ones on the beach at Praia de Futuro. When you go there you will not hear tourists complaining about how ugly all the girls are. That is only on this forum.

I have heard there has been a big crackdown since I was there last in November 2005. So I cannot attest to the quality now. All I know is this forum was knocking Fortaleza girls all the time in 2003 and 2005 when I visited, as they are knocking them now. What they wrote at the time should be taken with a grain of salt.

It is funny to see the debates that comes from time to time about where are the nicest girls in Brazil. To me this is strange, since we all should know that in a city of 2.4 mill. there are differences. Its like to believe that here in Scandinavia all girls are pretty, since all girls are natural blonde and have blue eyes. Well, they are and have not.

To me, and many of my fellows, it is more exotic with the skills of the girls from Ceará. I look more for the warm, kind and feminine girl, I dislike the cold, modern Scandinavian girl, who act and think more and more masculine, like a man.

Any info on the current police crackdown? I heard it's much harder this year to bring a girl to the hotels in Fortaleza. What about action at Iracema at nite? Are the bars and discos still hopping with "action" girls? And what about the early evening scene at the outdoor cafes in Mireiles on Beira Mar across the street from McDonalds? Are there still available girls daytime at the beach at Praia de Futuro? Any advice on how big the crackdown is this year regarding hotels, bars, discos, houses, beaches etc.

i was there last week and some of the discos in the iracima area were closed.. i think they are cracking down on ****.. there were several bars with some older gdps sitting in them.. but i was with gf. so no direct experience.

How is the crime in [b]Praia do Futuro[/b], the reason I'm asking is because I'm looking at buying an apartment in Fortaleza, and I have seen a nice one in Praia do Futuro.

But I have been told its a very dangrous place, with favelas close to it.

The guy told me its ok to walk outside in the day, but to stay inside when the sun has past.

Is he correct, or is it down to common sense. Etc not wearing gold watches etc etc.

I would really apriciate if someone could tell me a little about this place.

One reason there are very few residencial building in Praia do Futuro is the wind and the salt from the ocean. The buildings in P F wears out very quickly.

The apartment building I have been looking at, is 18 years old, its located maybe 350m from the ocean (1block). So it may need some work, but im not certain.
