Guys,

I see a few scam reports, so I will report some past experiences and near misses.

1. I was walking around some BBS which was near a construction area. Some woman on a bike rode by and ask if I want to massage. She only asked for 50rmb which was the first tip off.

I followed her with my guard up. Into some local klaptrap housing, in a room, locked the door and it had a very "romantic" decorated bed. She told me to undress, lay down and start the massage. I told her to lay undress and lay down first. She continually pushed me to and not her. I knew this was a scam so just as I collect my things and open the door, another Chinese guy was tryong to quietly open the door. If I was lucky the worst would have been that he would steal my stuff, or not lucky he would try to threaten me. I walked out just as he was trying to walk in and he was surprised to see me. Be on high alert following girls into places you are not familiar.

2. Recently on Chang Hua rd, I met several bike girls. One really cute one. They asked me to follow them but I wouldn't. 2 of them agreed to find anyplace, hotel, my room, outside and they can do the deed. In this case maybe it is safer since they are not bringing you to a preset rip off place.

3. Another time I did a Tong Ren lu I picked up some street girl and we went to a secluded place in a park. After doing her doggie, I noticed my 1, 200rmb gone from my pocket. I checked her pockets and bag and nothing.

Later I realized that as she was bent over, she can dig in my pocket, shove it in her socks and I would never notice. Now I move my money and phone to either a shirt or jacket pocket where she can't reach it.

There are tea house, and KTV scams which I have been lucky to avoid.

tried out a crusty sauna place opposite crowne plaza hotel puxi. have no idea of the side street, but the hotel/theatre complex also fronts xinhua lu.

staff werent really helpful and the furnishings are cheap. i was feeling sketchy going in. had a shower and waited in a room until the manager sent in about 5 girls. none of them really knocked me out. manager spoke some english and wanted me to take 158 who was tall with huge breasts but she didn't really appeal to me so i chose a shy 126.

What a relief! I'm no longer in Shanghai, but will be again for a few months early next year. Never again will I get into something that hasn't been discussed here.

Yes it is a higher price than a chines girl on a bike or a chinese street walker that would agree to sex in a park. But inside the bars on Tongren if you ask a girl to give a price for LT, the 1st quote will probably be around 2000 RMB. It does not matter where the girl comes from. chinese, viet, philippines. if you want cheap try a bbs.

800 is just a reasonable amount that most filipinas would agree to. a few might hold out for 1000. if they like you, theyre drunk, they really need money, maybe you could get LT for 600 but probably the 1st girl you ask for 600 will say no and spread the word youre cheap.

for me i think the price is reasonable for LT for a horny filipina, it usually means 2 pops at night and one in the morning. not sure about ST because I never do.

Not sure if you are a BBS or Sauna guy but there is 1 BBS inside the Hong Qiao airport hotel. Either from the airport or outside parking, you can walk into the hotel lobby, walk toward the elevators in the back of the lobby. There is a hair salon which offers massage. The girls are pretty obviously offering other things.

Around the HQ airport area there are tons of BBS and Saunas. Just start canvasing up and down the roads surrounding that area. You will surely find what you want.

Please don't forget, this country is run by a triad/mafia group who have branded themselves as Communist Party. Most Chinese people have been tricked into believing it is an ideology.

There is no objection against prostitution, as long as a) they get their cut and b) it is kept under cover

Violations to one or both of these two rules will lead to raids and or closure. If you want to play safe, stick to establishments obliging to these two basic rules. However, as a visitor it is not easy to know which of them do. RTFF to find out which have done so for a period of time and will do so in the future

Wandered the length of xiaomuqiao, only one BBS open. It's day is done, even the ones around the corner are kind of depressing. There's a new strip out near the Marriott Hongqiao, Hongzhong lu. From Marriott walk toward the Yanan Lu overpass and keep trucking and ye shall find. RMB150 for BBBJ.

Beware: in front the closed doors from shanghai hotel there are standing 3-4 touts, here is my conversation with them:

"hello, welcome, sorry we are closed, move to another location!" (first red light blinking).
"i am the manager, i can bring you to the new place" (second red light - 100% scam allert!
"where is the new address?"
"just 2 min by taxi, very close"
"why you dont make a sign with new address here?"
"no no, we dont want, we bring our customers personally" (who believes)
"i can go by myself, just give me the address"
"no, i will bring you, we have pretty girls they to BJ and sex, only 400rmb"
"how about red rope, massage etc" (he obiously did not know what is red rope)
"you come, see first"
"no thanks bye"

As many members said before: "dont ever go with touts" no need to add anything else!

After most saunas closed I decided to find bbs, and I found some.

I lived in the new asia hotel shanghai, 10min walk to the bund. Old from outside, rooms very modern. They have "sauna" and massage in the house, but when I checked no girls there.

In front the hotel always some touts, very aggressive to any male person going in and out, just ignore them.

Near by is a small street (zha pu street, foto attached) packed with restaurants and massage shops, around 7-8 of them are not into massage at all, typical bbs style, girls waiving you in. Some are real massage places, I even saw blond european girls go in for massage.

The bbs quote 200-300 for FS, some really cute girls there. I ask one girl come with me to my hotelroom (from the first bbs on the right when enter the street). 300 for 45 min.

She did a good job, but nothing special. Asked to stay whole night for 1000rmb, I refused.

Later I asked her to send her friend (anyone ok, they all looked ok) in about 1 hour later. In time another cute girl arrived, she did a very good job. I got her number later and will call her from my new hotel and will let her stay longer than one hour only!

There is sauna in the airport compound - actually it is linked to the terminal building. An oil massage can be upgraded to FS. You have to negotiate hard as they are used to 'tourists' who don't know about the standard rates.

Most of the girls looked average at best when i went today but a girl in a red skirt and black fishnets did catch my eye so i ventured into her shop. She led me upstairs to a 'secret' loft with LOW ceilings and quoted me 200rmb for FS. Allready cheap i didn't even bother to negotiate. I and several of my friends from Netherlands have generally be able to get just about any PI girls LT for 500 RMB just about anytime after midnight. Why pay more? The most i ever paid for a filipina in TRL was 700RMB. (No I do not take the LBs)

In my opinion, the actual negotiating is part of the fun.

Try and ye shall succeed.

Also be aware that some of the PI girls are MUCH older (10 years or more) than they claim.
