Hello everyone, long time lurker.
I'll be staying in Bangkok for about two weeks in January, close to the Sukhumvit area. It isn't my first time mongering (though I am still somewhat inexperienced in this area) and it'll be my first time in Thailand. Bangkok is way over Pattaya but its less point and click so falang prefer Pattaya but when you get use to Bangkok and have the budget for it its an awesome city.
If you like sushi its one of the besst city I know, there is hundred of excellent japanese sushi shop, there is a huge japanese community in Bangkok and lots of them have restaurant and they are doing the best sushi I ever tasted in my life.

Bangkok is truly world class, with lots of good, interesting, exotic, tasty, sexy things to see, do, eat, enjoy. It's amazing how they keep the streets and sidewalks so nice and clean. Even in poor neighborhoods in the East side, trucks spray water and sweep streets regularly, in addition to frequent rain. Along the Chao Phraya river and khlongs, pipes deliver fresh water and drain out sewage, keeping the water ways cleaner than most.
I would suggest the normal tourists' places, Grand Palace, what is along the Chao Phraya, food courts in shopping malls, night street food places like Sukhumvit On Nut. Couple good AYCE grills: Best Beef for meats and Mung Korn for seafood. Mookatas are expensive and not so good.
Food tours are worthwhile. I tried a Thai food tours in Viator with many places in Royal Approval Registry, very interesting, met a couple fun college students and a few very attractive Thai female soldiers doing lunch. Magical-[URL]trip.com[/URL] has a 15-stop food tasting tour in Chinatown, a very good deal. Chinatown has AYCE lobster buffets. Look it up and let me know.
I sat on buses from Chinatown on Yaowarat on the South end, switching buses couple times, rode all the way across town to Huay Khwang on the North side with new Chinatown, Poseidon Massage and FIWFANS girls.
