So I wouldn't categorize it as information that has not been updated in years. Sure things could have changed in last month or two and they won't be reflected, but from the vantage point of someone who has never been out of the country and those in my shoes, it seems like a great resource. Not just for mongering but traveling in general. One should always leave some room for deviation no matter what they are reading and how recent information seems to be updated. As sometimes personal preference and bias insidiously seeps into one's writing no matter how objective one tries to be.

I'm a pro and I rocked up to a suite with a healthy wallet near Nana with a week of good fun planned and my ultimate conclusion was I will never go within 100 metres of Soi 4 again.

I booked the suite at Dawin Hotel on Soi 4 and it was pants, it was noisy as hell, the breakfast was appalling and the outside patio was completely pointless for a non smoker.

I took several walks along Soi 4 looking for the best looking Vietnamese freelancer (they all seem to be Viet with a few Africans and ladyboys thrown in) and after choosing one that was very well priced she had unattractive tits and offered the most amateur of services, I sent her packing early and the whole ordeal was 100% pointless. I was not going to repeat.

I kept a healthy look out for any hotties in all the Soi 4 bars as I walked back and forth along Soi 4, say 20 times, and only saw one lady that took my interest but never when I was primed for action. My overall opinion of Soi 4 was it's just a hangout for old blokes who have formed some sort of weird subculture that I had no interest in being a part of and never want to be a part of.

I made three visits to Nana Plaza and had no positive experiences. I struck up a good connection with the only voluptuous beauty (Barbie) in Billboard on two separate nights but (probably) stupidly stuck to forum advice and insisted upon paying at the hotel which I was told on both occasions they never do. In hindsight this was the biggest mistake of the trip although the lady in question was a touch up herself which made me cautious. The only places I barfined from was the upper floor Rainbow establishment and Angelwitch, both were OK looking but changed into shite streetwear, had ugly tits and offered awful vanilla services. I hung out at other places but while I usually do well with hotties I found the cream of the crop had no interest in me and the ladies drinks felt like a piss take. I no longer felt like a pro and would never go near NP again although I did suspect that someone with more nous could have their just desserts there.

I took the circuit around Thermae a couple of times and found it to be a rather frightful place. The women just look like saps and most aren't good looking. The few hotties showed no interest in me so I passed without wasting much time or thought.

Thankfully the trip wasn't a disaster due to an excel table I found on another forum detailing all the massage places east of Asok station. I have never had a nuru before and was keen to try one and ended up having seven. The nuru itself was enjoyable and on six of the seven occasions the sexual service was good too. All six did BBBJ, DATY and FK; with one going BBFS but all requests for anal for extra baht went nowhere. I can't see myself returning to Bangkok anytime soon as my opinion is it's become a tier 2 destination for sex tourism that caters for Chinese & Korean virgins along with desperados from the Outback / Midwest / Highlands and the OAP subculture that I have no wish to understand. If I was to find myself in Bangkok again I would stay well away from Sukhumvit and use TF with metro visits to the nurus as a backup option. Establishments like Black Caviar might be the best route to take but for me sex tourism isn't sex tourism if you are paying those prices.

Only the corner rooms at the backside are quiet, but I found out the hard way as well.
The breakfast options were relatively expensive, but not too bad at the time. But I usually went to the buffet at the Ibis hotel next door, which was better value for money.
