Are you sure that works? I believe my cell is locked to my mobile carrier back in usa. So if I switch out the SIM it would not work. Tell me if Im wrong please.

You have to stay with them at least 30 days from the purchase of a new phone and they will give you the code. The only carriers in the USA that use a SIM are T-mobile and AT&T. After you put a SIM from a different carrier into the phone and enter the code it is then permanently unlocked.

Thanks for the info. I have Verizon and it also has a SIM card. So as long as the phone is unlocked you can put in a Phil SIM and not be charged International Roaming? I will call my carrier and see if I can get the unlock code.

1) Two phones - one on international roaming to create the impression I am still in my home country and one with phils sim to arrange meetings with various girls in the phils.

2) As the airline tickets are electronic I email them to myself using a second email address. You can then doctor the dates and arrival times whether it is the international flight or Cebu Pacific. This is evidence to my gf of my arrival and departure to phils.

3)Give some bullshit about why we dont meet at the airport. I always fly to Manila, spend a few days mongering, then onto Cebu for several days mongering before meeting my gf. Excuses have been catching an earlier plane or arriving at 4 in the morning - just be creative - but remember to plan this ahead so it is reflected in the doctored ticket.

Just go to a 3rd party phone shop and ask them to unlock it for you. Orange over here charge £20 to unlock it but their cust serv told me to go elsewhere for cheaper...

Any of the little 2-bit phone shops and stalls here can unlock all phones.
Just a couple of hundred pesos or less.
It voids any warranties on your phone though so you need to factor that in.
But - simplest solution
Why not just buy the bottom of the line Nokia 1280 (It will cost 1250 php in malls for a brand new small fone that slips in the pocket easily).
I have 2 of them. Open lines, and they work brilliantly.
Get a local sim and keep your regular number open.

Go on ebay to unlock your phone. Paid $0.99USD.

They send you the code and instructions to unlock it.

I am going to keep this informative rather then descriptive, I guess if you can't score in Manila after reading even few pages from this forum there is something wrong with you. So few tips from my last trip...

1. MBC - I am sure many of you know this but I haven't read this on the forum so I will post it anyway... Upstairs you can play pool for pussy. Bet the girls 1000 peso for ST. Beat them and the will honor it. I did this half a dozen times last trip with different girls. None asked for tip, one asked for food. I did tip though from memory around 500 peso. You will need to loose few games here and there otherwise the word gets around. When you lose play the girl again and win your money first then her pussy.... Normally I don't play pool at MBC but I am glad I did this time.

2. For the locals and the more adventurous - A dozen or so FL's spotted on the street just across the entrance to North Harbor. The whole street is like a container town, lol there seems to be some quite nice FL standing there. I passed the area twice around 8-9 pm I have a girl that leaves further up and there is quite a few there. Has anyone ever been there? Can we get some other info on this from our local mongers? I am quite intrigued and may look into it next time so please advise if in terms of safety if anything. To be honest that would be my only concern there...

3. Republiq nightclub - [url]http://republiqclub.com/[/url] .... check it out! Worth having a look. Make sure you wear shirt and dress nice as they enforce the dress code even for westerners. I was with a date and her kissing friend so I didn't try to pick up but I would be laying if I didn't say that upgrade was the only thing on my mind for those couple of hours there. If it was a fist date and didn't know what awaits I would have ditched them at the door :) mind you this were nice ladies too

4. Lax Nightclub - Mall of Asia - another cool joint. Security offered to sell me a VIP seat for 5000 peso and he would get me ANY 2 ladies that I wanted. I said no, and found my own, but my friend kept striking out and on the end made a deal with the guy. I left for the hotel, my friend did come back with 2 in tow.

5. For those that want live music and want to try something different, try cowboy grill in Mabini. The place is 5 min walk from MBC. Walk in sit down and smile. Plenty of action there but make sure you pick and make it clear that you only want her not the whole gang. Eat, drink fast and get the hell out :). Seat as far from the stage as possible otherwise you wont hear anything and you will have to have your whole convo writen on the cell.
