[QUOTE=Maxwell 100]Fellow Mongers,
Am planning a visit to BKK in late July. Have been many times (+15) most recent visits have seen me staying at Livingstone's Lodge which I enjoyed (see field reports from both stays).
I have stayed in Sheraton Grande Shukumvit several times and whilst it is very girl friendly, in these tough times I am thinking about a 2 bedroom apartment for me and my faithfull wingman.
I have been getting emails from Wotif, Last Minute.com etc with some amazing deals.
TenFace apartments was an example. Two room luxury appt with all kinds of extras: brekky, free use of a tuk tuk shuttle, free wi fi etc. All for 6000bht per night.
This compares very well with two rooms or a suite in a luxury hotel, also with Livingstones which does not have a two person room (at least based on my call to the night desk guy whose english was poor).
My concern is more the girl friendliness of apartments. I have searched the threads but woud appreciate some current info from you guys about wether a two bed appt in a nice tower block is likley to be a problem getting girls in. We are confident enough to grit our teeth for the Walk of Shame, but a refusal to allow our playmates entry would be a nasty problem.
Based on my experinces in LOS in the past I suspect I am being over cautious but any feedback or suggested apartments would be much appreciated.

Personally, I think 6,000 is a bit steep, especially for off-season and with the occupancy rates down so much.
I'd try Centre Point, Langsuan (Chidlom, 2 stops past Nana going towards Siam), which has deals this time of year of around 3500 for a 2 bedroom apartment. There are several Centre Points around town. When I lived outside of town, I used to stay there all the time when I came to BKK.

You could also try Cape House, also on Langsuan which is a bit more expensive, but has slightly better rooms and a great buffet breakfast and Italian restaurant.
