(This is my first report)
I'm arriving in BKK on 17th June.
Booked into 'Merisses Sukhumvit 16' for one night before heading down to Phuket. It's only THB1700 for their premier suite. Looks really good on web (Google it folks). I e-mailed manager to confirm NO 'joiner fee' and also that I can have two guests back. This was all confirmed.
I'm guessing Soi 16 can't be too far from the action.
Anyone stayed here?

The very rough map on their website places the 'Merisses' just north of the bend in Soi 16, which runs south, perpendicular to Sukhumvit
Google Maps shows this bend at least 1 km away from Sukhumvit/Asok.
This is where you might [i]begin[/i] to look for action, unless you want to continue north accross Sukhumvit and spend all your time at Soi Cowboy.
I dont' know, how far 'too far' is for you, but it would be too far for me.
On the other hand, the the place seems to have everything a monger needs, including in-room internet, at a very attractive price, and walking 4 km a day will save you visiting the gym....

When in BKK, I usually stay on Soi 15, so you are close to the action spots. Taxis are just plain cheap. It'll be about 35 baht from you hotel to Soi Cowboy and maybe 38 baht to Nana. Make sure the driver turns on the meter - if not get out. You can walk to either, if you like, and it's not that far away. This is what I do 'cause I check out what the venders are selling - I always buy t shirts. Late at night, all the girls are out in the night sidewalk restaurants.
If you are looking to chase pussy in Phuket, it's there, but not in quantity or as easily obtained as in Pattaya.

You are within EASY walking distance to most action along Sukhumvit is you are staying on Soi 16. Fifteen Minutes to Soi 7 and the Beergarden and 20-25 minutes to Nana and less to Soi Cowboy and lots to see along the way, day or night.

Reflections of a recent sojourn through Bangkok with the caveat that I was constrained by having to work late and had limited free time.
I do my best to rttf but admittedly just do not have the time to read as thoroughly as I’d like. As always, I appreciate the wisdom and thoughts of others who have contributed previously.
Here’s my recent experience.
Night one. I arrived late in BKK, so could not go to preferred places as recommended in the forum, so I went to Spasso.
FYI those looking for a bargain right now, go to BKK as the hotel I usually stay, high end, was at 20 % occupancy. Deals are to be had.
Arrived Spasso, flying solo, around 12:30 AM. I am an intuitive person and have learned to rely upon my first instinct. First impressions of Spasso is that it was lame. Somehow forced and the cliental were non-thai, 40/60 Western/Middle Eastern, just not my scene. But as it was late I dealt with it as a limited option. Scanned the crowd and did a walk about. No one jumped out. Sat at the bar. Decent looking gal made eye contact and then a guy from the Middle East tried to hit on her. She rebuffed and he got a little pissed.I played coy and she walked away from the guy.
She then invited me over to sit and she was more attractive in person. It was not feeling right (frankly felt more fulfillment in pursuing kicking the ME guy’s ass) and other ladies were eyeing me in the club. And frankly I thought others in the club were more to my liking.I over-road my gut and went with this gal. She offered to drive me to my hotel.I thought to myself, okay you have gone against your gut, but she’s turning out to be cool. Has a car, local, etc.
We got to my room and she changed into a robe. No shower, which was a bad sign to me.I thought, wtf, why are you not showering. Either you are not clean or you are not going to perform, or you are hiding something. Doubts starting arising. She came out of the bathroom with the robe on and she had washed off some of her make-up. A couple of scars on her face. Hmmm. Don’t like the heavy make-up type, turn off #2, she had fake tits. Big non starter for me, particularly in asia. Then she gave a half assed massage and started negotiating. Like for 300 US. I said no fucking way. She got pouty. Second sense kicked in and I wondered if I had a legit gal here, so I picked her up and lay her down and checked out her goods. Looked legit, but I was getting sick of the price offers, and frankly the poor service and I decided she should go home. With some fussing, I gave her a more than fair amount and told her to leave. Lesson learned again. Listen to the first instinct and first impression. Never force it. Period.
Day two. After reading the forum, had in mind to stop by Biergarten and Eden, but was hesitant to go to Eden as I was getting there late in the afternoon. The doormen asked where I was going and I stupidly told them. Lesson number 2, don’t tell the fucking doormen where you are going in BKK. He strongly recommended a different place. He assured me it was "#1". Given this hotel is supposedly one of the best places to stay.I thought surely the doorman wouldn’t steer me wrong. So I agreed. Now remember.I have limited time and I have limited experience in BKK. So I go to "J One". It is farther than I am told by cab. The cab driver says the hotel doorman told him to wait for me.I thought "uh oh, they are in cohoots". But wtf, this is an experience, I have limited time, just roll with it.
So I am dropped off at a place far away from Nana or the farang hang-outs. This is clearly a place that Thais and other non-farangs frequent. So I go in an they offer an exorbitant price.(instinct kicks in again, but I override it again, and pay the fee. Not so much by my standards, but by BKK norms it is triple the price.I honestly did not realize it was so high at the time. That’s the reason they ask and get away with these types of prices.-tired, hungover, jet lagged.-will upon occasion pay 3’x the norm. I payed it and was led to a viewing area where about 12 ladies sat. And told to pick my gal. Picked the one that suited my taste. Seemed genuine, nice smile, good rack and body. Decent eye contact.
Proceeded to have a nice, 90 minute soapy and bath. Extremely clean, friendly. If you negotiate better than I did, might be worth a romp or a visit. When I left there was a better selection of genuine hotties and I am picky.
Since we got along well, I spoke with my lady friend about visiting me later at my hotel and she agreed doing it off the record. We exchanged sms #’s and I gave her the time and place. Needless to say, she did not show at the allotted time and we did not connect that evening.
Night 2
So, I had to work late. Until 11 PM ish and did not want to go back to Spasso. So I went with what I had previously known, albeit expensive.Pegasus. But it took be a bit to get there. Let me explain.
At this point, for you first timers in BKK, you need to be very clear and decisive to taxi drivers upon entering a cab. You let them know who is in control and exactly where you want to go. You tell them not to fuck with you and to take you exactly where you asked to go. If they take you someplace else that you are going to be pissed and that you will not pay them. So take you to where you requested.
Better yet. Just don’t take a taxi. When possible, use the Sky Train. It’s not hard, it avoids the nefarious traffic, and taxi drivers.
So my doorman says no, don’t go to Pegasus. Not many girls available there now, got to Amsterdam (have never been there but I have a sneaking impression that the forum spoke I'll of this place).I say, you call there ahead and tell them I am coming and make sure there is a good selection. So my driver takes me out of the way and tries to drop me at a different club.I get pissed and tell him I am cutting his pay and to get me to Amsterdam asap. We get there 30 minutes later after sitting in horrible BKK traffic.
I arrive at Amsterdam. I get out of cab. I go in. A total dive. I walk in and walk out at 12:30 AM. This place is a frigging hell-hole. No one reading this should ever go there. There are so many other decent options in BKK. Do not go to this place.
I tell a taxi to take me to Pegasus.
Now a word about Pegasus because I have seen others here asking about high-end places. I went to Pegasus in 2007 and had an okay time. One gal was a winner and one was simply okay. My bottom line on this place after 3 total visits in 3 years. This is a place better suited for asian millionaires than for Westerners.
The mamasan and papas and papasan told me up front there were slim pickings. It was late so I said wtf. And went with it. They brought two gals over. Didn’t feel right. Papa says let me see if I can find others. He comes back with 3.I instantly take to one and choose her. Remember you cannot get in and out of this place long term without forking over 10, 000b. Now I know one should never, ever, pay that in BKK unless one is insane or just giving away money. But I learned the hard way. We have an okay time, she is pretty, Isaan girl, simple, really nothing remarkable either personality or looks wise. She’s got a great bod, model like face. That is what one is paying for at Pegasus. They have screened the gals for you. She’s up front and in the cab she says she has to leave at 8 am. Wont’ budge. I am disappointed but suck it up.
We have fun but it is like 2 am when we get to my place. She’s good for one shot. She cuddles a bit, but is distant in sleep and in the am she sleeps past her 8 am departure and then at 9 simply announces she is going. Nothing else. I take this as my 3rd loss for my time in BKK and begin believing that BKK is overrated.I realize though that a lot of mistakes I am making are due to my decision making and limited time frame for operating.
Day 3
I wake up with finally a day to myself, and no work. Unfortunately I leave late this day, so cannot bring anyone back to my place.I am set upon doing what I wanted from the get-go. Get my ass to Eden.
Eden looks to me the most like FKK’s in Germany re. Quality control, good management, professional.
Finally taking the advice of the forum, I arrive at Eden early.12:30 in the afternoon. Damn. I am relieved to actually have some time away from work and some free-time. The place is smaller than I thought. And in a raunchier part of town. But I am learning to not discount the raunchier sides of towns abroad as some in these parts are much more overt in their expressions and expectations than in the less seedier parts of towns. The lady behind the bar has only been there for a few days and seems overwhelmed with what she is doing. Says only a few ladies have arrived and that I should wait. One other guy is sitting at the bar and he and I get to watch the ladies arrive. Most put their hands together and say a prayer at the shrine near the doorway.I have a deeper appreciation for what these ladies are offering and walking through by watching virtually all of them say a prayer to start their workday as they cross the threshold of the brothel. Most greet each other kindly, some hug, some offer perfunctory greetings to each other.I wonder to myself, how would I greet one of my colleagues if was in their situation?
I chalk up all of my disastrous BKK experiences to lessons learned and settle into the barstool knowing that I have most likely found a place that is simpatico. I am correct.
I sit at the bar for 10 minutes then one of the Frenchmen managers, Mickey, goes over procedure with the guy who was before me. Then a 6’ 8" middle aged Eurodude walks in. Clearly knowing what he is doing. And then Mickey talks with me.I don’t really have any questions, and then the line—up happens. The Euro Dude dude makes his decision with a previous acquaintance.Mickey says to go for it as there is no protocol as the Euro dude was the last to get there, but he chose first.I look at the ladies and try to decide based upon eye contact and attraction. Not caring what side of the line they sit. A lady with the red-dress, great curves. Nice eyes. Open.I say what the hell. For the first time here in BKK, trust your gut. So I chose her. And I quickly wondered who she would choose. She did not hesitate and she picked one of the cuter gals.I thought. Whoah.I am with two complete hotties. And was smiling from ear to ear.
Ideally, I would have chosen an all-nighter, but due to time constraints, I was limited, so I asked for 3 hours which was the most I could do with my schedule. The three hour option was perfect.
Bottom line: as you can see, I did a lot of different BKK options. If you are only there for a short time, get your ass to Eden. Its reliable. It’s great. It’s awesome. It delivers on quality, professionalism, and the ladies there are used to farang.
I think this is the most important part of my mongering experience. Finding ladies who at a basic level are willing to be with me and are okay with it. Laugh, pull at your chin, talk about my nose, whatever. Someone who is willing to engage and appreciate me and vice-versa someone who can hear and recieve compliments, admiration, and appreciation.
Well, I was so tired from my work and activities, I did not perform like a p-star. Far from it. But I laughed, and enjoyed myself with these two wonderful ladies that I think we had a good time together. What I am leaving out to you all is that these two ladies did everything possible and imaginable to me. Really.
In a perplexing and strange way. It is amongst the most vulnerable I have been with women. One is beyond naked (in the sense of "bare") in situations like this with two women seeing your eyes, lips, back-zits [yes, they took pains to clear a long standing, unknown back blemish. I mention this to say, listen.I and they are equal. Yes I had the money to pay them or Eden for the services. But I get shit clogged in my skin like every other human on this planet and we are to an extent reduced to our limitations. And I found it a reminder (aside from the payment aspect that some here will reiterate is the bottom line) that it was an honor to spend time with them and for their taking care of me.}
Both ladies showed me pictures of their children. We had a nice intimate time with one of the ladies snoring on my shoulder (she awoke about ½ hour later embarrassed) and the other stroking my head and eyes while talking life and lovers.I found this to be authentically genuine. Albeit a snapshot of the life we & all (and they in particular live). It was a nice solstice to the rigueur of the normal day, and I feel we made a connection.I told the principal I wished we could spend more time together and that it had been my intention to have them both for the night to my hotel to just be able to hang out.
It took me a while to get comfortable being with 2 girls. They both were very okay doing just about anything together. Sucking, licking, you name it. At times they seemed to ask for turns sucking me. But as they took me in the mouth for extended periods.I somehow felt drawn to apprentice #2. She had already shown me pics of her child and about the fact that her thai boyfriend/father had kicked the shit out of her and on her pregnant belly to the point that it seems like her baby had a mental deficiency. Wtf? Reality set it that these ladies come from hard street stories and have survived despite the affection they show towards us.I came for the second time in apprentice #2 while the principal took a shower and watched and heard from the shower. Again, a new situation for me doing this in front of another woman. So, lessons learned?
I went out shopping on my own at a nice mall, Siam Paragaon and strongly believe that freebies are available if the effort will be made and if you are a good looking farang (suggestion, walk through the make-up section.I caught the eye of a legit 9/10 babe who if I had time would have been awesome) and if you are able to go to your high-end mall in Europe, you.S wherever and flirt with girls half your age, you can connect with the Thai ladies too, though it’s perhaps easier in Thailand. However, if like me you do not have the time for the freebie/natural run-in’s.RUN to Eden.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME elsewhere. The dregs of Eden will make you much happier and are mutually more conducive to a good time than almost any other situation in Bangkok. From a health perspective to the professionalism of the Eden staff. To the expectations of where the gals are coming from. Start here. Work your way to the less established places or to the more "non-pfp" types in the malls if you are on the ground for longer. Next time I am in BKK? No Brainer. Book in advance with Eden. Worst case, get two of them sight unseen to your room or hotel. Really. This is the best starting point and is best for non BKK natives. Work your way from here.

BKK is not as easy as it seems. It takes more work to get quality. But search and you will find.

Hell, just got a Soi Cowboy club or a Nana club or pick up a girl at the carpark outside Nana or take a stroll on Sukhumvit or go to the Beer Garden.
You can't miss at any of those places unless you are really trying to miss!

The place is smaller than I thought. And in a raunchier part of town. But I am learning to not discount the raunchier sides of towns abroad as some in these parts are much more overt in their expressions and expectations than in the less seedier parts of towns. The lady behind the bar has only been there for a few days and seems overwhelmed with what she is doing. Says only a few ladies have arrived and that I should wait. One other guy is sitting at the bar and he and I get to watch the ladies arrive. Most put their hands together and say a prayer at the shrine near the doorway.I have a deeper appreciation for what these ladies are offering and walking through by watching virtually all of them say a prayer to start their workday as they cross the threshold of the brothel. Most greet each other kindly, some hug, some offer perfunctory greetings to each other.I wonder to myself, how would I greet one of my colleagues if was in their situation?
I chalk up all of my disastrous BKK experiences to lessons learned and settle into the barstool knowing that I have most likely found a place that is simpatico. I am correct.
I sit at the bar for 10 minutes then one of the Frenchmen managers, Mickey, goes over procedure with the guy who was before me. Then a 6’ 8" middle aged Eurodude walks in. Clearly knowing what he is doing. And then Mickey talks with me.I don’t really have any questions, and then the line—up happens. The Euro Dude dude makes his decision with a previous acquaintance.Mickey says to go for it as there is no protocol as the Euro dude was the last to get there, but he chose first.I look at the ladies and try to decide based upon eye contact and attraction. Not caring what side of the line they sit. A lady with the red-dress, great curves. Nice eyes. Open.I say what the hell. For the first time here in BKK, trust your gut. So I chose her. And I quickly wondered who she would choose. She did not hesitate and she picked one of the cuter gals.I thought. Whoah.I am with two complete hotties. And was smiling from ear to ear.
Ideally, I would have chosen an all-nighter, but due to time constraints, I was limited, so I asked for 3 hours which was the most I could do with my schedule. The three hour option was perfect.
Bottom line: as you can see, I did a lot of different BKK options. If you are only there for a short time, get your ass to Eden. Its reliable. It’s great. It’s awesome. It delivers on quality, professionalism, and the ladies there are used to farang.
I think this is the most important part of my mongering experience. Finding ladies who at a basic level are willing to be with me and are okay with it. Laugh, pull at your chin, talk about my nose, whatever. Someone who is willing to engage and appreciate me and vice-versa someone who can hear and recieve compliments, admiration, and appreciation.
Well, I was so tired from my work and activities, I did not perform like a p-star. Far from it. But I laughed, and enjoyed myself with these two wonderful ladies that I think we had a good time together. What I am leaving out to you all is that these two ladies did everything possible and imaginable to me. Really.
In a perplexing and strange way. It is amongst the most vulnerable I have been with women. Albeit a snapshot of the life we & all (and they in particular live). I went out shopping on my own at a nice mall, Siam Paragaon and strongly believe that freebies are available if the effort will be made and if you are a good looking farang (suggestion, walk through the make-up section.I caught the eye of a legit 9/10 babe who if I had time would have been awesome) and if you are able to go to your high-end mall in Europe, you.S wherever and flirt with girls half your age, you can connect with the Thai ladies too, though it’s perhaps easier in Thailand. However, if like me you do not have the time for the freebie/natural run-in’s.RUN to Eden.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME elsewhere. The dregs of Eden will make you much happier and are mutually more conducive to a good time than almost any other situation in Bangkok. From a health perspective to the professionalism of the Eden staff. To the expectations of where the gals are coming from. Start here. Work your way to the less established places or to the more "non-pfp" types in the malls if you are on the ground for longer. Next time I am in BKK? No Brainer. Book in advance with Eden. Worst case, get two of them sight unseen to your room or hotel. Really. This is the best starting point and is best for non BKK natives. Work your way from here.

BKK is not as easy as it seems. It takes more work to get quality. But search and you will find.

Age or looks is no concern, IF you look like you have money. Make extra efforts to dress nice, tips a little more, and maybe get a rental car with or without a driver if you are here. If you have a driver, then they can say to their friends that they scored a big shot. .Make sure to tell the car for hire company to not let the driver talk to the girls. And be sure to tip well upon the inital meeting with the driver.
