Hi Everyone. Airport area and late evening activities in the city
Hi Everyone,
First of all, my thanks to the contributors of the Forum. I've read all of this thread (and it's long!) and now I have alot of information (in theory) on how to move in shanghai.
However, I would need an advice from you experts because I'm not sure on which would be the best plan for my next trip. Having read all of the "flavours" that the city has to offer (barbershop, incall, meeting bars, etc.) I think that my preferred way would be to go in a nice (possibly clean and safe) sauna / massage with some beautiful ladies to spend 1 hour or so with a choosen one. Budget it's not a concern (this does not mean infinite money.) because my travels abroad for business are very very rare so in such occasions my goal is to have a good experience and not to spare some RMB / USD. I indulge in that maybe once or twice per year so, as said, I do prefer to go for a "sure shot" and not be disappointed. I don't want to sound too proud / rude, just saying thing as they are.
Now, the question. I will fly to shangai from spain and I will be there on dec 27, late evening (around 21:00). The day after I will leave shanghai to go mainland China for business for some days. So, I will probably sleep in one of the hotels near pudong airport. Is there any decent activity there?
My plan so far, reading the forums, would be to go to the bodi via maglev+taxi that evening. BUT maglev is not working at that hour, and I'm not even sure about the sauna (I didn't find any opening hours in your posts). So the only option is taxi to go and taxi to come back. I think it's quite long, isn't?
Another option would be the siYuan (or similar name, I don't remember) near the bund. As far as I understood, the bodi and siYuan are the two most "luxury" places. Maybe I'm wrong but ideally I'm used to think luxuryous = safe = clean = nice ladies. Just courious about your toughts on this.
So the thing is. Will I have to do this 1 hour or so taxi drive from the airport to the city and back the same evening (after a 13 hours flight.) to find something decent? Or there is any activity around the airport? And, if I do the taxi ride, will I find the saunas open around midnight? Or what?
Which place you think is the best one disregarding budget considerations? (however, I don't want to throw money out of the window without a reason).
I think I will have also an afternoon or something free on my way back, first days of 2013. Your advice?
Thank you very much for your understanding and for your precious advice. I do understand that posting questions as first post is not the best thing to do on a forum, but I do promise you a detailed report on what I will be able to get.
Cheers,
Edmnd
