Sunday evening (March 27) :
It wasn't bad. A nice selection selection of Garotas and visitors. All in all some 200 people I guess. Last year when I visited Balcony the selection wasn't very good. Tonight the selection was fine. I think Balcony is getting better.
I saw several fine looking ladies and went with a tall (magra) dark skinned GDP. Her name was Rachel. She is very pretty and tall, an 8 to 9 in my eyes. (scale 1-10) The service was only 6+, but at least she enjoyed 20 minutes of DATY was very nice. For the rest it was rather standard, but not too bad. She was a little nervous and wanted money upfront. I reluctantly agreed. She was too pretty to refuse and I did not want to send her back. We agreed on 200R for 2 hours. She stayed 1. 5h. All in all, nice for once, but no repeat.
1 photo attached. (no face shown)
Enjoy,
Dutch44
I'm glad you had an OK time at Balcony. I admit that there can be a few winners in the mix, and people here seem to have luck there. But in my experience. Maybe been there 6 times since October. It's a pretty heinous place. And it's almost impossible to find "bargains" (R$200 and lower) unless you wait very late at night (or early AM, depending on your point of view. I mean like 3am+). Last time I was there in Feb, I stayed til 4AM and finally got a reasonable-looking black filly to come back for R$200 (she asked for R$400 to start and I laughed). It ended up being pretty bad as she asked for money up-front midway through the act, and I basically kicked her out (to her shock, but I paid her so she had no complaints).
It just seems like fishing in the Prives etc. If you have time is a better option, IMHO.

Found this one:

What do you think? Is this all private or does anyone recognize this place? Of course, I don't even know if it's in Rio, but after all it's clearly Brazilian.
Is the action in front of Othon still good? Last report read, it seemed so. However, it was probably the leftovers from Carnival. Hope they are around.
Eleven days ago there were at least 25 GP's on the beach in front of Othon Palace. This large number was just temporary. There were lots of americans who propably made part of the Obama crew. The GP's saw their chance of getting some business.
After Obama left there have been very few GP's on ho-beach. You're lucky if you find a dozen GP's on ho-beach.
Only for those who don't think there is such a thing as bad porn.
I said nothing about the quality of this, I was just thinking of the place. If it was a brothel, and the girls were the GDPs it was a waste of time and money to go.
And I do know what Brazilian porn sex can be, private or P4P. So you are right, this was nothing special.
Got a question for you pro's. My friend flaked on me for our trip to Rio but I'm thinking about going myself. Would any of you recommend a person going to Rio by themselves? I plan to stay in the tourists places and I'm really going to Rio just to monger at places like 4x4 etc. I also am going to try some t2 places in bubba's guide. Is it safe for me to go alone or should I wait until I can go with somebody? I don't speak port but I can speak very little spanish, enough to pick up a terma girl and take her home LOL. Any input would help, thanks
Sure, I've always gone by myself and managed to find friends either with a girl I hook up with (:D) or among my fellow mongers. Termas (as opposed to prives, clubs, or boates) seem to be a particularly good place for this as you get chances to socialize in a relatively quiet atmosphere rather than just walk in, transact business, and then leave.
Do be sure that you take a taxi at night both to and from wherever you want to go!

I have went to FKK's, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo and Montreal alone and I genarally always hobby alone. This way there is no one to judge my Hobby. The problem with Rio is the crime. My advice is to do your scouting before it gets dark. That is find Termas that you plan to attend, scope out the balconi and where you plan to take the girl if anb when you score. This way you are not fumbling around lost looking for the entrance to the Termas or privy and you are less of a target.
I'll bet it is easier to get an escort to come back to your room if you are alone?

After reading through the threads here and Bubba's excellent guide, I finally made it to Rio. I found the ATMs on the 3rd floor of the airport where there are 3-5 banks present. I made sure to use an ATM that had the Visa / MC logos. As mentioned by others here, Banco Brazil was reliable. I used a prepaid taxi from one of the booths at the airport exit which cost R$90 which seemed fixed and they accept credit cards. Th cab fare was probably more than a yellow cab, but was worth knowing that traffic and driver dishonesty wouldn't be an issue. It seems like we drove through some slum areas as the drive to Copa took about 45-60 minutes. After arriving at the hotel, I decided to get a local SIM card. There were a few stores a block or two in from Atlantico Ave. Claro wouldn't give me a prepaid SIM telling me I needed a CPF number and told me to go to the Central Police Station in Centro to apply for one. I decided to stop by TIM and they sold me a SIM card with my passport. There was a Oi SIM card store nearby, but I didn't stop there. The per minute rate for prepaid SIM calling is not cheap even for local calls, about R$1 a minute with free incoming calls. Both Claro and TIM stores had English speaking sales clerks which was helpful.
I was debating if I should try a Centro Terma or a Zona Sul Terma. Since it was getting close to sunset, I deceided to stay local. Just to try out my local SIM card, I tried calling a couple of escort agencies. Scortshow was the first one I tried. Unfortunately without a good command of Portugese, you really can't do much on the phone. I got the impression the girl I asked for wasn't working that day or was not available. Just as difficult communicating with the other agency. I would not recommend this for those with limited Portugese unless you can get a local native Portugese speaker to translate for you. Also it is a good idea to see if your hotel/apt is girl-friendly and/or if the girl needs to register first.
So after dinner, I took a nice walk over to Monte Carlo. I felt fairly safe walking along Ave Atlantico in the evening. However I don't know about walking around rest of Copa and would probably take a cab to Luomo or the other T1 Zona Sul Termas. After you enter MC, there is a reception desk where the clerk gives you a bracelet with your locker number and shows you a printed menu with the prices. The latest prices are 70+70+180. It seems like they upped the girl fee by R$10. The next room leads to the men's locker room where you change into a bathrobe and slippers. You can walk up a floor or take the elevator to the 2nd floor which is the men's shower + toilet. THe 3rd floor is where the bar is with all the girls. It is a small bar and I would say about 30 girls were present. The male:female ratio was about 1:3. The bar has a menu with all the drink prices, starting from R$4 for agua to R$12 for caipirinha to over R$100 for bottles of champagne. There was no pressure to buy a drink. Some girls will walk up to you and talk. Some speak pretty good English and others none at all. After being approached by 4-5 girls, I spotted a girl of my choosing and went over to talk to her. Unfortunately she spoke no English and so I tried to remember as much Portugese as I could and tried to communicate with her. We sat down on the seats for a little while and she let me caress her bunda and her legs and exchanged some light kisses. Since I knew conversation wasn't going anywhere, I asked her to go to the cabinee. We walked up to the 4th floor to get a room key. She took my locket bracelet and I waited for about 10 minutes. Another local monger was waiting too and he seemed like a regular saying Hi to many of the girls. Finally she returned after changing into lingerie and we headed for a room on the 5th floor. The room was very small with just a twin bed there. The performance was decent. She was not much into BBBJ, but when asked she performed it without any hesitancy. After multiple positions, I asked for greek and she obliged. I got the sense that she doesn't enjoy it but does it because customers request it or because a lot of other girls do it. After I was done, we stayed in the room and cuddled for a while. I didn't have enough energy for round 2 during a 40 minute session, so I just tried to relax. She told me she had worked at other termas mainly in Centro and most of her clients were locals and so she really hadn't learned English. I don't know if MC is mainly visited by locals or if there are more gringos as I didn't interact with the other men. As we were leaving the room, I asked her if she was working tomorrow and she said yes with a smile. I take it that she understood it to mean that I enjoyed being with her.
Hope to try some of the other termas in Zona Sul and possibly 4x4 during the daytime. Will have to squeeze in some sightseeing as well.

Those of my friends who picks Balcony girls for TLN on a regularly basis pays R$100 for TLN. The girls seems satisfied as they often calls them afterwards to get more business.
I have picked up of girl from the Balcony last week for 300 BRL but she was very very beautiful

Termas Vs. The Beach
Having been to Rio on 3 occasions in 3 years I need to make my FIRST post after reading here for a month.
I love the termas, (Luomo, Monte Carlo. 4X4) But they have become expensive IMHO. 320 USD for 45-60 min with a girl and 2 beers in the bar. Since each time I go I rent an apartment in Copa I have started going to the beach in the afternoon where most of the girls hang out when the sun is shining. Across from the old HELP night club and the still standing Mia Pataca restaurant. There Robert or CiCi (The beach rental / beer guys) will introduce you to any girl you desire or you can introduce yourself to any girl that you see, and I have never paid more then 250 Reais for the night. They are fun, friendly and seem to enjoy sex. You can always asked for 1, 2 or 3 holes in english and they will understand. Most of them have a limited amount of english in their vocabulary. Small gifts and candy from the states are the rage, and will get you big points and usually a discounted invite for the next night! Pulling WG's off the beach is the way to go. I will be going back again in June as the LBFM are my favorite. Just my 2 cents. Please PM me if you would like Apt contact with Airport pickup, cell phone and guide.
What was her performance like? Did she stay all night and give you a quickie in the morning?
No quickie in the morning because she left me at 6 am! But before sleeping I have fucked her 3 times she was very very hot! Fuck in the bed fuck in the bahtroom.
I was in Rio last week and 4 nights in the Balcony, what many of you said about Balcony it's true that's really a zoo every night about 70 garotas but for me only 5 correct
I have met 6 girls, all of them asked me 200 Brl, for me that was ok.
I think the best time to go to Balcony it's about 9 pm after no place
I recommand you strongly this place

Pedra the Gávea.
Sorry for the interrution on the breaking news on Balcony etc.
If you're ready to burn some calories: climb Pedra the Gávea.
Take a bus out to Pasarela in Barra and head up the mountain. 1 1/2 h later you'll be up on he top of Pedra the Gávea.
The views are just fantastic!
Note: The trail is scaled 5, on a note of 1-5 on dificulidade. If you suffer from afraid of heights forget about of it.

P.S Forget about a guide. You'll only need a pair of strong legs and 2 litres of water.
