About Google Maps Street View Cartagena
People call it different names, Plaza the Coches is correct, I call it the clock tower, had a friend call it Tu Candelas, he is referring to out in front of it. I took Elektra down as it was closed while I was there, it reopened the day after I left. Figured I would read it after I got back in a few weeks. Alot of action at the clock tower, saw girls there every time I walked by at all times of day but right at dark they start coming in in droves.
I don't know when they did it or when everyone else noticed, but Street View is completely available for Cartagena in Google Maps lately. The whole city with few exeptions. A great way to Recon areas and routes

Now one can be very creative with a report.
Like this is the benches in front of Tu Candelas where I picked up this chica.
Hillbilly69 was your wingman with a chica
Wingman got searched first day he was there last trip and almost again same night, I haven't been searched yet.
I'm curious to know if your wingman was with a Chica when he got searched, I wondering if that incident with the stupid secret service guys has had an impact on the way the police treat gringos with chicas? I was thinking that of all the times I had been through the checkpoints alone, I never got stopped.
Colombian Police / NYPD Stop and Frisk
Colombian police is very professional. I was searched and questioned many times, like at least once on each visit to Colombia (except this last one). Each time, after no more than 5 minutes, after they havd explored my pockets and examined documents, I received only big smiles and "welcome to Colombia". Nothing to worry, if you have done nothing wrong. Being with a girl is not a problem. Why should it be? You are not in USA. There, you can have a gun in your pocket, but if you are with a girl dressed too sexy, presumably a street girl, hmmmmm. TROUBLE!
I have no doubt that the Colombian Police are professional and I have the upmost respect for them. The NYPD are also very professional, and I have the upmost respect for them, but the fact is that the NYPD use stop and frisk to keep out the rift raft. The policy has nothing to do with their level of professionalism, it has to do with not wanting rift raft. It also has to do with profiling. They say that the security check points were put in place because of Narcoterrorism and FARC, now I certainly do not look like anyone in FARC and I would hardly fit the profile for the average narcoterrorist. I didn't say anything about being harassed or being shook down (which is what unprofessional police do) I am saying that is possible that single white guys with prepagos are being profiled.
