Wow, that's a bummer as I'm here in Pats now. Didn't know that. What day does it start and finish? I presume all of Walking St will be closed then? Same in Bangkok?

Keep in mind that while the numbers of girls available overall is fairly 'normal' (not what it once was years ago, but not terrible), there will be very few girls after about 11:00 or 12:00 PM. At around that time there is a regular crackdown and roundup, which results in a 500 baht fine for the girls (or presumably some time in the jail), so most girls disappear around that time. If you watch at that time you can often see them running away from the beach rapidly in fear of the cops.

Interestingly I also noticed that certain sections of the BR are almost empty of girls, while certain other sections are jam-packed. Could it be the cops are pushing them away from certain areas?

In any case, be warned. I've often found myself unable to get laid after midnight, which is really my main time for the practice.

Now I understand why some of them do not want french kiss or stay for LT as well. So be careful and treat them respectfully.

regardless of their situation these girls usually share a cheap thai style room, no a/c, no furniture, just empty close to their working location so they don't have to even spend money to get to their working location by motorbike taxi. they will share this room with another working girl and seldom will they ever let you know or bring you to their room unless they have a future motive.

in general they are so tired that once they are done, they go home and sleep until it's time to do it again. if you want to call them pimps but personally the exact term and definition for a thai boyfriend that knows his girls job (p4p) is nothing but a selfish leach! if you ever see a pack of dogs roaming around a soi, looking for that one female dog in heat so they can pull a train best defines a thai boyfriend! don't expect them to be home taking care of the household necessities they are out speeding around town in the fino that was purchase by the girl laying on their backs they are out spending their hard earn money sitting and drinking leo beer. they couldn't care a rat ass whether she st/lt or french kiss as long as the gravy trains continues and when she is pregnant its' casper time " for them!

over the years i have been privy to some of the girl's rooms and lbm sums it up perfectly. also living in the village, i see many bar girls returning home, many pregnant, father unknown until the child is born, when invariably the father would have been thai!

As Bumholes knows very well. It works in reverse too! Innocent girls gets pregnant in the village same things happens the Thai man or usually boy takes off. The girl has the baby and leaves to work in P4P, the parents are left with the child to raise with the promise they will send money back. Basically the child leaves the child it is a sad revolving door! With very basic education the parents in their hearts know whats the new profession but the culture allows it to slide as long as the money comes in. Years down the road the child knows who is the real mother but in their hearts feel more attached to the grandparents than to the birth mother. ( Clarification not always the case ). There are some evil hearted grandparents that take advantage if the girl is successful and start sending money. They use the child to obtain more money each month using excuses that they are sick etc,,,etc,,,so they don't have to work! you get the point. And god help them or you if the grandparents found out that they latch on to a Farang!

This isn't always the case but I have been around Thai's enough now that I hear case after case after case. I wish I get some good news from time to time about Thai men but after years here still the same case stories. That is why you hear from P4P women speaks badly about Thai men and place us Farang as a better catch but if we Farangs remotely do the things a Thai man does they go crazy but for a useless Thai it's o.k. and acceptable? which enforces my thinking and opinion of a Thai man or boy?

I asked several girls last night too, and they didn't know anything about it.

So I asked my hotel and they said Saturday only, but it didn't seem like they were 100% sure either.

It IS Chulalonghorn Day, which itself has no bearing on alcohol sales. However it it the night of the full moon, and the end of Buddhist Lent - a very special religious day, and it is for this reason that alcohol sales might be banned in various places.
