Santo Domingo has some very rich people who live there and there will probably be some expensive New Year's parties with nice eye candy in Santo Domingo, there will probably also be many parties that are not expensive, maybe Avenida Venezuela would be fun on New Year night. Boca Chica would probably have less expensive New Year's parties with slightly less attractive eye candy. Santo Domingo is a large busy city. Boca Chica is a small beach town where most of the action is probably not more than 4 blocks.

Jaguar Hotel you mention is chica friendly, they sometimes check cedulas of the chicas (cedula is a Dominican Identification card).

Was at LAPUS tonite. Bought average chica with big butt with promise of a little greek included. Was qouted price of 4000 with payment to be paid upfront. I'm a santo domingo newbie and paid thinking I would tap that chicas ass for the increase in price. About 30 minutes in, I hear all these doors being knocked on really hard. The chica says its the policia! We get dressed go out and no policia nowhere. Mgt was there and condone this roust carried out by the chicas. Avoid this place!

It was great last year. Stayed up all night long and wound up on the beach in Juan Dolio at around 9 the next morning at one of the beach clubs with beds on the sand. Didn't spend much in the capitol as I brought my own liquor to the malecon (in a plastic soda bottle as the do not allow glass). Bought soda and ice from the vendors and had a great time. I will be there again this year.

The owner speaks perfect English and can advise you about most anything you need.

Girls House and Sky High also owned by a Cuban, as is Foxys (beware the 100 peso entrance fee). Girls House has gotten bad reviews. For Greek, try casa azul, there might be chicas there for that, prices around 2500 pesos. A few Amazon chicas at casa theresa (Avenue ortega and gasset) , price around 3500 pesos.

305 is owned by a Cuban-American, cool guy, speaks perfect English. I have not had any problems with 305 chicas. Satin Dolls is owned by a Dominican-American woman, who has always been nice to me.

The Policia Nacional hang out in front of Lapsus, in any dispute regarding Lapsus, I would bet they would side with the owner of Lapsus. Lapsus is a brothel, brothels are illegal in Dom Rep, but the Policia nacional and the politicos don't shut down Lapsus and allow Lapsus to rip off guys like you, a tourist in Santo Domingo, spending hard earned money in the DR.

Folks in the DR government wonder why tourism is down.

do the people in dr where mostly white clothes (as they do in brasil) for new year? eating grapes (like in spain)?

Thanks to Jaosousa, Cagep & Koki for taking the time to answer me. I have a better idea of my itinerary, will stay (depending on availability) at the Jaguar from 26th to 30th then move to Boca Chica. As Jaosuousa stated there are rich party with rich peoples, money is not as much the point more than I feel more comfortable with regular peoples, as long as I have a good girl with whom I connect, and I have met a few in my trips, I think that I will enjoy myself better in Boca Chica. Koki for the schedula, it seems to be the same everywhere, I usually go at NG in Sosua, not only they check the schedula, but they keep it and the girl must pick it up on her way out. Once they turned back a girl, cause she was a known trouble maker. I wasn't pissed off as I knew that they were avoiding me trouble.

This trip is exploratory as I have gone many time to Puerto Plata, Sosua Area but starting to feel stale, so want to discover other place in the DR. By spending few days in SD then moving to Boca Chica, it will allow me to cover more territory and know more place, know more peoples for future trips.

So next question would be do you know place in Boca Chica that would be recommendable (up to $75. 00 / night) Chica friendly with good staff, so far from my reading I have one place in mind that would be Hotel Zapata, but I didn't read anything that would indicate that the place is Chica friendly? If not any recommendations are welcome. Last question would be that there would be an Hotel in BC that would be run by Canadian ex-pat. Anybody know which one it would be?

Spend as you desire, but keep in mind that $4,000 pesos is more than honest cops make in a month. You can have the whole family for less in the barrio. Read the board a little more closely. If the girl is legal, then the police should not have an issue with you in a hotel room.

The funny thing was when we were done, there was a security guard in the distance that was patrolling the beach (I found out later that was his post).

The second time was near Juan Dolio, I was parked near the beach with my Novia and she was in the midst of a great BJ when la Policia Nacional came knocking. It was actually pretty funny. There were 2 cops a tall one and a short chubby one, the tall one kept saying we have a problem and the short chubby one was trying hard to control his laughing. I gave them 40 bucks to walk away. My girl was horrified.

I take it Santo Domingo is a good place to be for New Years and I did want to try something different for New Years one year outside the USA. I assume everything will be higher like Flights and resorts, hotels and the like but is this a big holiday for Dominicans to fly back home for like Christmas or is it different?

Hell of a good time if you speak the language even barely. Very festive feeling prior and after. P4P slows down a bit but non-pro and anyone having or creating a party has their pick. You get completely looked at differently if you are the one bringing the Presidente and meat to the party or initiating the party.

Once again, Dominicans love to eat and cook for you. I come into town now and find people I met or just went to their homes bearing gifts asking my boy where is the Single funny big black dude constantly. Some of its freeloading for a food and drink they normally can't get or afford but it puts you in a better light with the locals.

IMHO: It shows your actually tying to get to know people other than Biblically. Best part about Santo now is having an Iphone of Contacts Professional and Punting. I don't comment much on here now as I when I come down now I am actually visiting friends; However, I do sneak out to 305 er now and ten.
