The Grand President next door was owned by the same people at the time but it was kept open. The Palace was new and The President was old and rundown yet they chose to keep the President open not the Palace. I'm sure it has something to do with partnerships and finance. Perhaps the financing on the Palace made it too costly to operate and make a profit. For sure money was the problem.

No need to full prepay for accommodations in Bangkok. If you don't end up liking the place you choose just find another when you are in country.

By the way, has anyone have any experience bringing girls back to hotels like Hua Chang or W Bangkok?

Tried searching online and found some websites that lists guest-friendly hotels, but neither hotel is mentioned, just wondering if that's a "no" to bringing guests back, or if no one's really explored it yet.

You might pay a little more but no one will ever question you, except security if the lady looks like a WG. I have stayed in many hotels in Bkk with my GF from the south and security never asks. Funny how they can tell the status by just looking at the lady.

So that could be a risk. Ask [URL]booking.com[/URL] if they are girl friendly. I have occasionally run into a family hotel in the past e. G. Bangkok Palace at Makasan.

RL.[/QUOTE]Cheers, that's what I usually do just to be safe. Do Bangkok hotels charge more for a two-person room? I know in Japan it actually makes a difference, but in Bangkok I've never actually seen differing prices for one person or two person. Once in Japan the hotel receptionist apologized to me that I had booked a two-person room when it was only me, and that they could not refund me the difference.

It obviously costs the hotel more to stuff 2 faces instead of 1.

RL.[/QUOTE]Haha very true that. Even when I walk in with a non-BG but girl Rom a office that kind of dress same as a WG they don't stop me. Maybe it's body language or whatever but it's always interesting to see.

You can clearly see that most hotels charge a higher rate for a buffet breakfast. But I still always book for 2. Small money to save face in case they stop you when you have a guest.

Is the Muse Langsaun girl friendly. What about the walk of shame? Which are the best 5 star hotels where one can avoid going through lobby and also preferably the ones where you don't have to come down to fetch your prize.

Most, if not all, of the Starwood Hotels in Bangkok of which W is a member are guest friendly but there is no guarantee. You might want to shoot them an email and ask the question (it is one I am sure they have answered before so no need to be shy about it).

By the way, I would expect the hotel itself would be much better able to answer this question than a booking company, which likely does not track which hotels are guest-friendly and which are not.
