It is interesting that the point of my original post that some people found so shockingly immoral was that you really can't distinguish between amateurs and pros, because even when relationships are based primarily on sentiment and lust, there is an expectation that the man will reimburse expenses, give gifts etc. Often the only difference is that a pro is playing a short game, but an amateur is playing a long game with potentially much greater rewards.

In a large workplace in the USA, extramarital affairs between marrieds are not particularly uncommon. Sometimes these affairs lead to a dissolution of a marriage and the formation of a new bond, but often they just provide a discreet welcome relief for a marriage that has gotten sexually boring or inactive and help to keep the family home together. When it comes to sport fucking, there is hardly anything purer than two people who both equally want to fuck each other.

I think that in any mainstream political or social forum the idea that men who pay for sex are deeply shocked at the idea of extramarital affairs would be met with bewilderment. That is not to say that such sentiments are not sincere, but they are probably more self revelatory than the posters intended.
