It has a People Nearby function that you can select gender and search for other people who have activated the People Nearby function. Sample attached of what you will see.
Yes, you can message these girls. Some girls will have "freelance" or "for work" in their descriptions. Same as TF, you need to be discreet. If you act like an overt sex pest, you will be reported and banned. WeChat has become more strict over the past few years, so you can't just spam every girl with "How much for sex?" messages. One important point. Always move the conversation over to LINE or WhatsApp. Just like TF, don't do your sex talk on WeChat app. If you do and you are somehow reported, your chat will be shared in the report and you will get banned.
TBH, I rarely use WeChat. In the past I could pretty easily find cute amateur freelance talent nearby, but now I experience that most of the girls are wannabe escorts, hardened pros or (worse) ladyboys. And other than gender, there is no filter for age, weight, height, etc that you find in Thai Friendly, so much harder to sift through the talent. I recently visited MIRA clus just next to sugar club. It was a long queue for entry.
Inside there were lots of girls, Thai as well as foreigners. But it was difficult to know about girl is freelancer or regular and in foreigner case tourist.

I dropped into this place last night. I've never seen anything like it. I guess it's a normal bar that somehow got co-opted by freelancers? This is not a civilian bar. Incredibly weird setup. One giant room with around 200 girls standing packed shoulder to shoulder around the perimeter, and then the center of the room, with couches, also packed with girls. They aren't on their phone or drinking. They are staring at you and smiling while you do laps and look at them. All are do-able, I didn't see any losers. Many extremely hot, ranging from very young to 40's. There are so many dudes being funneled around the circular 'track' that it takes a while to do the lap. I was the only white guy. Mostly Asians. Very few guys were talking to the girls. I saw a bunch I would have liked to have taken but it's an uncomfortable setup. You stand still against the tide of men passing you and negotiate with the girl in front of everyone? I don't have a problem with a street approach, but this is different. Ideally I like to just exchange WhatsApp info and then talk price and no-condom via text but this seemed difficult here. I'll probably go back tonight just to see it again.

No condom has ever been a problem for me there, but I have been going there for 30 plus years.
I even stay in the Ruamchitt for convenience. They have a shitty breakfast, basic rooms but a nice pool and location, location, location.
