You can also buy a day pass as well. There is also a place called the Sandtrap that has a pool, tennis courts, bar and restaurant with no membership fee. It recently changed hands so it will be interesting to see improvements if any.

I just read your replies. Appreciate the information. I will look into the waterfront and the sandtrap when I get to cebu. Plus the day pass sounds probably the best way to go. I was just reliving past good memory. I not know about the rest of you. But I got to have a swimming pool near by to survive in the Philippines. A great day is sitting pool side in the shade with a mango shake, fruit platter, listening to good musica + a hot chicka babe who doesn't need pads in her bra to look 36B. I will share. Probably the only good bola bola pick up line I have that makes the girls smile. Compare "her" smile or hair or lips to a filipina pop singer. Example: your smile is like Rachelle Go, or your hair reminds me of Sherlyn Regis or your dark beautiful brown skin is like Pops fernandez.

Trust me the girls love it. They will laugh and smile and thank you. Good lead in. No I do not know these pop singers. I looked up pinoy entertainment. Knowing what's going on within the Philippines in terms of news, gossip and celebrities will make it alot easier to understand some of the inside jokes.

One word of caution when complementing a filipina that she looks like a star can backfire. I once told a woman she had a nice smile just like 'Anne Curtis'. The complement did not go over well. The woman frowned and said "you think I have a big mouth? You think I talk too much?" She was not impressed because to some locals Anne Curtis is seen as having a big mouth on a small frame. LOL. My bad.

Overall complementing a filipina on her looks or comparing her to a filipina star works 9 times out of 10 and as others have observed it can help to break the ice and start a conversation.

Starting June 4th there will be a series of lane closures on the Marcelo Fernan bridge, better know as the 'new bridge' for repairs. Seems the expansion joints have to be replaced. The work is scheduled to take 88 days, but chances are high the work will take longer. One lane (out of the four) will be closed at a time for the work. Expect increased traffic delays going to or coming from Mactan.

Been trying the Baseline tennis club w / some friends.

Taxi drivers seem to know it and rather close to Ayala.

Not sure exact prices since my buddy was paying but I think in the neighborhood of 500p for 2 hrs which included some equipment for the girls and a quite capable ball boy.

Tennis isn't really my cup of tea but its a nice way to work off the afternoon tea & scones at the Marriott Executive Lounge which is a new and welcome addition there, albeit prices keep climbing there.

As I am a fool for things that fly also found some good frisbee leads.

Have been of the opinion that props are for boats for the last quarter century however I am working on a checkout in a small single engine plane out of Mactan.

So after 20 yrs in jets the prop had me smiling. Very special treat for a date w / the potential for some inter island treks.

If you have some interest in piloting its the sort of thing 2 can do for not much more $ than 1.

I am not looking to make money but can be priceyat$100usd / hr depending.

It was my befriending effort that led to my meeting blaze for his be'day gathering last yr and I had a college student w / me as my date that I had been on my scholarship program since 2009.

1.) For some reason when he met her at a later time he thought it would somehow be amusing to divulge my ISG handle to her, sorry I didn't find it amusing.

2.) Blaze assured me he would "NEVER" fuck a girl that was known to be linked to another guy.

Upon examination of his txts to her I would describe his pursuit of her as semi relentless but in any event he did fuck her.

But in his defense he did poney up jeepny fare to offset the abject poverty that has been her life.

3.) I have to chuckle at his facebook page under the same Blaze Pontaine pseudonym, whereby he subscribes to the teachings of Jesus.

Guess his calling me an asshole during my attempt to determine his motivations in PMs was from the Old Testament.

I would encourage WR & Frenzy33 to make our common female friends aware of his generosity.

Any curious if you know or have seen him might have a look at his DIA, Blaze in Cebu, then proceed with caution should you encounter him.

I appreciate Americans find it hard to appreciate them given that many think Mexican food such as burritos etc is actually edible. And not Christain either. Seems you take the Lord's word in vain. The 200 pesos would not even cover a taxi fare if the girl had come from Toldeo etc to see you.

Americans tend to like burritos and other Mexican foods because they contain something we in the US (and much of continental Europe) call "spices." Because of the spices, these foods have something we call "taste." I realize, as a devotee of such English delicacies as scones and beans on toast, taste is a thoroughly unfamiliar concept to you, but I will personallly take it upon myself to introduce you to "food with taste" the next time you venture to Davao. Of course, we'll stock up on beans and plain white bread in case you find the spices indigestible. After all, what are friends for?
