Just wanted to extend a warm and hearty thanks to Frenzy3 for taking the time to meet me.
We met for lunch the other day. Wound up hanging out for the rest of the afternoon talking about living and mongering in Cebu as well in the Philippines in general. As my ulterior motive for this trip is to get an idea about living here, Frenzy was gracious enough to invite me to his home to give me a better idea of the living conditions here and, I suspect, to show off his ladies too (insert big grin). Went into a place called 'Salon Rose' (Ayala mall, across from Pizza Hut) for a haircut. After the buzz cut, the barber massaged my scalp, shoulders, upper arms and back. This lasted about 5-6 minutes and then he finished up washing off my face and scalp with a hot towel. Is getting this type of massage after a haircut a common practice here in the Phils? Or was that something unique to this salon?
All I can say is that I left there feeling very refreshed as well as with my hair high and tight – all for 100 pesos (plus a generous tip to the barber)!

It is common and a standard practice in most salon's in the PH. They wash your face with hot towel and suck your cut hair with a vacuum cleaner in the end. Which I never knew back home could be done hehehe. Plus they do a general massage on your head and shoulders all for 100 pesos

Arrived in Cebu from Manila yesterday. Staying at Kiwi, but will relocate to Waterfront in a few days. I will be staying at least a week.
Yesterday I went to Mango Ave, and visited a few bars. Vikings and BJ (BG?) , and a few others. After Manila I must say it was a bit of a dissapointment. About 20-40 girls each place and 3-4 customers. Quiet as a grave. Is this normal or did I just come at a bad time? Or am I at the wrong places? Don't get me wrong, I was very happy with the number of girls. Just seemed like every bar was about to go to sleep.
Where to go if I want a livelier place?
If I want to play golf, any advice? Read that most clubs in the Phils are members only.
And any advice on daytime activities? Aside from hanging around the malls looking at the goodies (which I will be doing aplenty).

Bars. Cebu bars have been going downhill for awhile and if you want a good bar scene stay in Manila or go to AC. Having said that each bar is different and the number of customers will fluctuate from night-night and week-week. The hot dry summer weather ended recently in the Philippines and the start of the rainy season is here which means a smaller number of visitors.
Cebu is better known for non-pro GFE connections made online or through chance encounters while on the ground around CC. The bar scene in Cebu is for guys who have zero skill or no game in picking up filipinas or guys who want a sex for money evening without the headaches of a GF.
It's BG's not BJ's. Although a bar called BJ's might be a popular place. LOL.
If you are looking for a 'livelier place' I would head over to Julianas AKA "J-Ave" on Mango Saturday night. It's pay week in the Philipiines and there will be lots of filipinas around in need of a foreigner to buy them a tanduay ice or three. 100p entry fee includes one drink. Enjoy.

But Mango Square doesn't get happening until well past 10:00pm. I was there during early evening and it was pretty dead. Me and my two female companions were the only people in a karaoke joint until about 8:30pm.
At around 1:00am, you can expect good sized crowds and random girls should solicit you, some following you.
In Cebu, you have to hit the dating websites. This city is not a mongering hotspot and you have to make an effort to uncover the gems. I see Cebu less as a sex destination but a social destination where you can meet lots of girls (but sex may or may not happen).

Someone told me Julianas is open every day of the week. Hope there will be some action on the weekdays as well. So far my favorite place in Cebu.
Only problem were the street children. I walked from the bars to Mango Sq, and got mobbed by them. Hands all over, trying to get into my pockets.
The reason I "complain" about the lack of other customers is that I think the girls are more fun if they have something to work for. In my experience if there are 40+ girls and only three customers, most of the girls will sit on the sofa wishing they were at home or sleeping. No real complaint though. I manage to have fun anyway.

All bars in Cebu the girls sit away from the punters, you can ask for a line up and pick who you want to buy ladies drink. If you want fun do not be cheep buy the girls drinks.
As for no I'd sounds you picked a bad apple they use that as excuses to stop girls they know who lie and thieve, never try to sneak girls in and make sure the guards see the girl a few freelancers are banned from bars and hotels due to problems, so use a condom as girls who fail hygiene also turn to freelance.

I posted on another thread about a chat I had with security at Waterfront.
They are very familiar with many of the popular bgs because they see them regularly as they pass in and out (with different guys of course hehe). They also keep tabs on the problem girls too.
Lack of an I D can sound a few warning bells for a punter so be on your guard about this.
