I used to live in Happy Valley and I fucking hated 7s time. Bunch of drunken gwailo retards wandering around hooting and hollering 24/7. Wednesdays (race day) sometimes had a bit of that but not nearly as bad.
Sometimes I understand why the Chinese think of us the way they do.
I used to live in Happy Valley and I used to be the one of those self same drunken gweilo retards. My favourite party trick which my mates and I did for a few years after the 7s finished was to go to New China News Agency and make a urination statement against the re-integration of HK into China LOL. After a few years they caught on to the need to have extra security on 7s days. My sevens visits have long since finished, since when I took a weekend trip (starting on the Wednesday of course) from some asian city and found myself on the Monday am, checking out my wanchai hotel with no voice and about HK$16, 000 lighter. Not including air fare!

Gf?
Does anyone know if the Garden View YWCA Hotel is GF?
It is indeed.
Friday night was very busy, late.
If you mean Saturday, it was a birthday party for one of our mates.
Cheers.
Talking in general. Anyway good to see all the bars are sharing the load.

The Rendezvous Part 2
The Rendezvous Part 2.
I glance down at my watch. 7:50 pm. Unusually, I'm running early for a change. Time for a brief diversion in a bar where the size of the drinks is small and the prices are big.
I like it because its the kind of place where more is done rather than said. Wisdom follows sobriety however, and I leave prematurely with a hastily scribbled phone number, a date for a future encounter and passionate words whispered wetly in my ear. By the time the blood returns back to where it normally goes, I'm feeling good.
I'm suddenly thirsty so I descend the stairs in a place named after the king of the sea. With any luck I'll meet one of his mermaids later on, hopefully she doesn't have a tail, or something else dangling for that matter, either.
I'm reminded of a song by Billy Joel as one of the managers recognizes me, is quick with his latest joke and helps me light up my smoke, a rare indulgence for me in the city where the air is more toxic than the cigarette in my mouth. 'Fluck you, wai boy, ' he says good naturedly, as he smiles exposing tea stained teeth. After all, I got him out of a major jam a few years ago and he realizes that I am not going to extort him over it. He throws me another cigarette and puts a beer in my hand as he goes on with his rounds.
I glance back and as usual the porcelain doll brigade from Vietnam are lined up by the toilets. Impossibly beautiful, they love sex because it earns them money which they love more than anything. It's a simple equation, almost religious in it's devotion and sincerity, but there is nothing good or pious about these predators. I watch as they engulf a hapless suit on his way to the urinal and for a moment it's as though a school of piranha have stripped him to the bone, leaving nothing but his jacket and an empty wallet. Eventually he returns and drifts back towards the stage as the deejay finishes another round of Black Eyed Peas and Rihanna songs.
A group of geriatric and listless band members shuffle up on stage and begin some sort of improvised warm up with a semi blues feel to it. Unbelievably they are the same band that I saw almost 6 years ago, living proof that in some cases, practice doesn't make perfect.
I find myself longing for the crisp riffs and tight harmonies of some of the Philipino bands that used to play back in the day before the world moved on and fiscal crisis was a term you only heard in textbooks. Sadly, these guys just don't make the cut and one can only admire the management for their charity in letting them stay on for so long.
I scan the room again and I'm impressed with what I see, there are short skirts and long legs in abundance and not too many DOM around at this early stage of the night. No doubt they'll appear around 11, pissed up and full of intentions that outweigh their performance ratings.
As I finish my second beer I realize that this will not be my final port of call for the evening and decide to move on. There are still places to go and minds to blow.
To be continued.

South stand
Ah. Sounds like a South Stand regular.
And whilst this post has nothing whatsoever to do with sex, I remember one memorable year, when the stadium was the "old" stadium and lots of areas were uncovered, the heavens opened all day and 40, 000 people spent the day in wet cold conditions watching 7's players slide all over the pitch.
That was the only 7s where watching the game from the comfort of my apartment seemed the better option (having endured 6 hours of non stop rain, protected by a bin liner. LOL)

It was the last year at the old stadium. We had arrived at the ground at about 6am to get a "good" seat. Had out first jug of Steinlager (still sold those days at the ground) , at 0830, and were then onto bloody maries by lunch. All of this in non stop rain and cold weather. But was a lot younger then, of course. Would catch pneumonia and die if I did it now.
Cheers.

Lame action
Last 3 days in Hong Kong was preety lame for me. Wong chao street is filled with bars but there only moto is grabbing money out of your pocket. 150 hkd per beer, lap dance 1000 hkd. Pretty expensive.
No nude dance bars nothing. All other nice lounge was filled with girls but cigrette smoke was nore than you can handle.
Disappointed with Hong Kong.
Does anyone know if the Garden View YWCA Hotel is GF?
You mean Garden Road, on the island side, rode running up to the Paek Tram? If so it should be OK, just look like you are a couple, the person who checks you in is most likely not there all day. Haven't stayed there in a long time, was with family, but looked rather mind your own business type place.
Does anyone know if the Garden View YWCA Hotel is GF?
Most hotels in HK are girl friendly.
Have to make sure that you know if key access is required for lift. And some hotels demand that you pick up your guest from the lobby.
A couple of hotels will ask the lady to register. Excelsior in Causeway Bay and Prudential Hotel in Jordan.

Anyone know of a ST hotel with a large bath tub?
Anyone know where you can buy cialis over the counter in Wan Chai?
Dude, RTFF before you post.
This has been a hot topic of discussion over the last week in this thread.

I remember standing in a lot of liquid (toilets were below then, and had to walk downstairs to access them), which could have been rainwater or whatever. I prefer to think it was rainwater but as always was so pissed, I couldn't really have cared then. Now it would soil my suede brogues. LOL.
