I was down last November, spent 2 weeks at a hotel near there. I would go down and eat some noodle soup at night and watch them getting out of the cabs going in. here is my experience from a recent sampling of various aspects of the nightlife in jakarta.

It works so long as both parties are reasonable. My "up to you" price for an all nighter is 500k, which works at Blok M and Jaksa, I can't be bothered with BATS or CJs. Still, I'd recommend against a newcomer accepting the "up to you" offer. It never really is just "up to you". If she's a hard-core professional, get the price clear first.

I think the problem these days is too many of these girls have been screwed over by guys who refused to pay them decently, so they now ask a price up front. I had a regular a while back who came round to my place with eyes flashing and chest heaving one night, she said she and four other girls had gone around to a guys place to make him pay what he'd agreed to one of the girls. She, at least, was quite wiry and strong, labor in the fields as a young girl no doubt, and quite fierce. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during the confrontation. When I arrive to Jakarta on my trip to Irian Jaya, I have to stay at the Sheraton Bandara near the airport, due to an extremely early flight. Because of the schedule I only have a late afternoon and early evening.

Two questions: 1.) Is anything available in that immediate area? 2.) The hotel has a Spa. They also say that in room massage is available. On the Spa menu is a "Gentlemans Service" (or something like this) for 900K. 2 hours. Any chance that all this means I could get sex right on the premises?

Greatly appreciate any answer on this.
