He is talking about the girls on the street which is a little unusual. Just read his preference, you would guess he would like the girls in the place.
Whether on the street on inside of the club called Gustos, $200 usd is currently more than $800'000 COP. Anyone paying that much money for a short time romp is a fucking simp and there is no wonder why these guys are getting robbed and killed like every week LOL.
I have no sympathy for these "Makin it rain" Poblado Fuckboys. I'm sure more of them will continue to come down here flashing their gold chains and their iPhone 15 Pro Max 512 gb phones and make it rain and they will continue to get robbed and killed.
Maybe if enough of these gringos get killed then the rest will stop coming and then the girls will have to lower their prices back down to reality to attract the business of the local parceros.
Here's my deal. 63 years old. American. I live in the Middle East for the past few years (a long story). Cute for my age.
I landed in Medellin 9:00 pm Monday November 13. I'm here for two weeks in a not bad airbnb a stone's throw from Parque de El Poblado. I have a couple of thousand bucks still in my pocket. I'm leaving the evening of Monday November 27.
I spent months using Facebook last summer however I just got a lot of fake profiles. It didn't seem to really be working for me.
A few weeks ago I joined Colombian Cupid. Better, but still no cigar. I met two girls so far, both very very nice people. Both 19. One a single mom. Both chubby which is NOT how their photos look and is not to my taste.
On top of that on Wednesday night somebody stole my phone. I went out to buy a bottle of vodka as you do when it's about 11:00 pm you can't sleep and you are a borderline alcoholic. No guns involved thank God. But some kid came up to me with cardboard tray of snacks jabbering in Spanish and as I said "No gracias" he is sort of bumping into me. Two minutes I realize that he and my phone which was in my pants pocket have disappeared. The good news is that this phone was really a piece of junk which I purposely brought because I had heard about these thefts, however a new cheap smartphone Galaxy A03 set me back about $120 including a SIM and data.
Yesterday afternoon while wandering around a little bit in the general area of Parque lleras I passed a pretty girl. I would say very "girl next door" 20 year old pretty Hispanic which I love. Not chubby. I looked at her. She didn't look away as would happen in my native New York. She made eye contact and said a very friendly "Hola". I am intrigued. With a little Spanish and English she offered two hours of company for 300,000 pesos. I was just not in mood, too jet lagged and still upset about the pickpocketing however I am thinking "That sounds like fun. " Perhaps trolling around the Parque lleras / Provenza area and saying Hola to hot girls is the way to go here.
Everyone seems to get lucky at a different time and place, or unlucky as the case may be.
All serious suggestions are welcome.
As I have been saying for a long time now all the murders of Gringos take place in Poblado. None in Centro. I always stay in Centro and pay a fraction of the price of hotels then in Poblado. Everything is cheaper there. Crooks always look to Gringos to steal from. A guy in Centro is not a target there like he would be in Poblado. As you can see it was four crooks who targeted the Gringo they just killed. The groups who target Gringos look where they find Gringos with money. They are not interested in Centro Gringos. Sure you can get robbed in Centro but it is not organized like in Poblado. All this nonsense of $200 asking in Poblado is insane as you can go to all the Casas in Centro for 60 K for a half hour or 90 K for a hour. No risk there and there are plenty of 7's to be had. If you need a Strip Club then go to Barra Extivio and get a 8 for 120 K.
You know you can't even really blame the crooks for killing him. It's like trying to blame a police officer for giving you a speeding ticket when you were the one who was speeding.
These "Makin it Rain" guys are coming down here and they're not RTFF, they're not listening to what we are saying, they're not watching DCbornRob on YouTube. If he had been then he would have known that he should have given up that IPhone 15 Pro Max. He shouldn't have resisted. So in reality he is to blame for his own death. Also willing to bet the bitxc he was with was in cahoots with the crooks. Where did he meet her from fucking tinder or bumble or what??
Look here guys, if you don't want to end up like that guy then leave the IPhone 16 Max Pro Plus or whatever the fuck it is AT HOME and use a cheap redmi burner phone when you get here. And if a dude pulls a gun on you just give him the fucking phone, it's not worth your life.
And also stop meeting bitcxes on tinder and taking them out to wine and dine. Your poblado boys got the game fucked up. Your suppose to just take them to a short time hotel and fuck them, it's not rocket science. You start trying to be Mr Romantic and you end up dead.
Whats new? Every week there is another gringo killed in Poblado. I'm kind of tired of hearing about it to be honest.
This.
Sounds like a poster who has an axe to grind. Getting a bit old.
I think Medellin is safer than a lot of other destinations like the Dom Rep, Philippines or Thailand. Can't comment on Mexico as I've never been. Willing to bet that far more westerners are killed in Angeles City (Philippines) than in Colombia in total. Colombianos will try to direct you away from dangerous areas in my experience and Parque Lleras is fairly safe to walk around, even drunk as it's well lit and loads of cops about (especially now as they set up checkpoints on all the entrances to the Parque).
Usually when you read into a foreigner being killed in somewhere like Medellin (or Angeles, Pattaya, Cancun, Sosua, et al.) its usually because the foreigner ended up doing something stupid, like in the post you quoted. Guy was shot resisting a mugging, I'm a self defence practitioner (Krav Maga) and the best course of action in a robbery is to give them what they want. No phone, no matter how shiny or wallet no matter how full is worth getting shot or stabbed over. I'm no fan of muggings but if you get to the point where there is a physical confrontation it's already too late to start defending yourself and you fucked up, prevention is much better than cure on this one, I'd wager that the people who mugged this guy were following him for a while.
By and large Medellin is pretty safe, unless you're an idiot. Just take basic self preservation measures like not getting into fights with locals, don't get involved in the local drugs trade, don't walk down dark alleys, not accepting candy from strangers, so on and so forth.

The gusto girls imo isn't too bad at $250 all night with 2 pops guaranteed. My friend got $300 for 3 pops till 5 am so he got the best deal.
Again I was about to get 300 k -400 k cop girls from paisonprepago or mili but the security guard advised against it. Said its more dangerous. I also had a bad experience with photoprepago in cartagena where the girl looked nothing like the pic.
But to do it all over again I would still go back to gustos, knowing they have to submit blood work to the club also gives me more peace of mind too.

I like the silicone girls and girls done up for all night so if I were in your shoes striking out then I would hit up gustos. I would hit it up then get a BUNCH of numbers. All the numbers of all the girls who you think is pretty. Then you can whatsapp message them and negotiate through what's app.
I would also go to loutron and get their numbers too. I believe some of the also do outcalls as well.
You could get street girl numbers but with all the news and everything I would probably be more hesitant especially if you're by yourself. But if you have security and door man then I would feel more comfortable. Always take a photo of their ID too if the building doesn't already do that.
So I was just curious. Since I've been back I wandered around parque lleras quite a few times. Literally all the clubs around the area were empty besides gustos and black diamond maybe.
Has any one been to any other club besides gustos?
I stood outside in front of black diamond and it didn't have good talent walking outside.

I was just there last night to pick up something I left at the restaurant the night before. One paisa came up to me and she did not quote in USD. She became stone cold and turned away without saying anything when I told her I had a cita waiting. Earlier this week, I was quoted in COP as well. I did see the type of girl you like in the park while they were changing into "work" cloth under those booths to get away from the rain. I guess these might open at 200 USD an hour because they are changing into more formal dress. Last time I was there in good weather, I saw at least one standing there wearing night gown too.

I highly doubt that. They come and go into that place just like any other bar or nightclub. No different than walking into a bar. They pay a cover charge I'm sure, and probably have to have their ID checked but that's it.
What are you looking for specifically? All night? Cute girls? GND? Just one hour pop?.
I'd like a girl who is under 25, slim, pretty face, beautiful long hair. Who at least seems to like me. I am very polite, clean. I am 63 and look 63 but I look good for 63. Tall. I have blue eyes. I prefer no implants. We can just DFK kissing, cuddling, give each other oral sex. Chat a little on google translate. I'm fine with that. And pay a couple of hundred thousand pesos for a couple of hours.
I am alone. There is not door man. There are a lot of cameras.
Thank you for your advice. Maybe I'll make a foray into Gustos and see what happens.
What bothers me is that I've visited a lot places over these many decades and I have a creepy feeling that a certain percentage of Colombians. Maybe it's 5% or 10%, look at me as prey and they are predators. Maybe I'm being paranoid. However I don't like this feeling. Perhaps: Next year in Cebu? An average Colombian girl would be a really hot girl in the Philippines. And a hot Colombian girl does not exist in the Philippines. Which is why I am in Colombia. (Of course beauty is very subjective; just my personal taste.) However I don't feel too safe around here in El Poblado.

Judging by so many videos out there, many criminals don't seem to care about being caught on camera. There is a video showing a man gunned down on camera in front of a crowded club on Calle 10 last week.

I feel a sense of danger in Colombia that is not present in those countries,. Yes, you can take precautions in Colombia but you have to always be on alert. In Thailand and the PI, I am not always on alert. I would also say that the major cities in Mexico are safer than the big cities in Colombia.
There are a lot of positive things about Colombia but safety and crime is not one of them, in my opinion.
