Collection of thoughts (Part9) Final
Thanks Giotto for your encouraging comments and Yes I do agree that may be many members don’t agree to my style of vacations but I wrote in my very first report that I went on vacation to relax and spend time the way I want away from home with no restrictions and not for just shagging alone as to shag I have no problem at all in my home land as I am a medical doctor and have enough female doctors and nurses to shag around and all are very neat and clean ladies and with most of them I don’t need condoms even and I enjoy sex to maximum and with working girls as condom is the biggest restriction I feel so I really don’t feel like going for it just for sake of shagging unless and until there is some real chemistry which may develop or may not and I personally don’t mind if I don’t shag a working girl even if I have paid her as I buy her time for sake of company as being alone I hate.
Few things were forgotten in last report so am adding them here before writing about shopping excursions.
Remember the farang couple which I mentioned I saw in Hollywood Award Show along with sis in law and mother in law. To my surprise and shock very next morning I saw same couple sitting on pub stools of Livingstone’s in afternoon and they both greeted me by smiling and my Miss K was also pleased to see them and she talked in Thai with the lovely lady who was accompanying the man and again a big shock to me that she was a working lady not his wife and was here to have fun with her customer. Now a question remain unanswered that then who were the younger girl and older woman with them last night.
As far as I remember this guy was not Lodge’s in house guest and nor was the lady a bar girl in sport’s bar but see what a co incidence that we met again.
Second thing wanted to mention that one positive thing which I observed and confirmed it too that in sports bar girls are not allowed to use mobile phones at all and as all girls do have mobiles they have to keep them back in their rest room or lockers but some how have a mysterious way of getting in touch with phones while sitting in bar and though phones are not with them even they know if some important call or sms is there on phone.
Mamasen have regular meetings with bar girls just like a office meeting or a company meeting and instructions are given and rules are enforced strictly afterwards and discipline is excellent and this you can not find in free lancers you pick from certain places as they keep clinging to phones when they are with customers plus they are not trust worthy at all as there is every likely hood that they will run away with your valuables if get a chance where as these bar girls are dead honest as I kept my things open all the time and at times 50, 000 baht were placed in my valet openly and they did not take away a single note from it as many times I was outside downstairs or washroom and my valet was openly lying on table along with my mobile phone.
This was the major plus point because of which I kept myself glued to bar girls of sports bar as I wanted to live with a peace of mind and not with a tension of looking after my valuables all the time.
Now finally a very alarming indication for guys who go bareback with these girls as many of them carry certificates which certify them disease free as I confirmed it from girls in bar and they told me places where I can go and get certificates after paying a little under table. In my opinion may be 5 % girls go actually under genuine tests medically where as all others get fake certificates and use them as and when required.
Now some idea about traveling in Bangkok of course from airport to come and go best way is to use meter taxi and will not cost you more than 350 baht including toll fee and if you want to use a meet and assist service which I used when I arrived I had to pay 1500 baht for that as was escorted to Livingstone on a BMW limo. I observed that business of bike riders and tuk tuk has suffered because of sky train as it is much easy to use sky train and you can travel in minutes from one place to other avoiding all traffic jams.
Livingstone’s is very near by sky station called Phrom Pheng and so is Emporium Shopping mall which is situated in right across sky station and from Phrom Pheng you can go to Nana station and go to NEP or Nana Hotel or you can go to Chitlom station if you want to go to Central World plaza or Gaysorn Plaza or Grand Erivan or to Siam station for going to Paragon city which is a new shopping plaza and these days very famous with tourists. From Siam which is an interchange for other line which goes to Stadium where famous MBK is situated.
Trains are packed with passengers but are safe as I did not hear or observe any crime and people travel safely and with peace of mind as I did not hear any incidence of pick pocketing.
However late nights taxi are best to use as by then traffic is reduced and one can easily go from one place to other on taxi without traffic jams.
Now first day I asked Giotto to give me some idea about how to reach Paragon City he guided me to go to Siam station and he was going to Emporium Mall to get a pair of sandals for himself along with her wife and he walked with me to sky station and there made me learn from where to buy the ticket and how to use it and he bought me the ticket from his own pocket and then even gave me the change for return ticket as well and I went to Paragon city.
I have traveled to Bangkok many times previously as well and have been to Central World and other malls like Robinsons so this time as I did read about Paragon city as the biggest shopping mall so I was interested to see it and wanted to know the difference.
Paragon City no doubt is a very big mall and is owned by same owners as of Emporium Mall and has almost all big brands in it but to me as it is quite big so one gets confused and get lost in directions and its really difficult to find the store of your choice or walk through all the plaza and one gets tired and by the time you make up your mind from where to buy what you are dead tired and as I am a smoker and now there is no place in Malls to smoke so with passage of time smoker is more frustrated and because of this I personally feel more comfortable in smaller plazas from where you can easily get out and smoke and go back and plus you can find stores more easily and buy things and one does not feel lost.
I found stores of Armani or Hugo Boss or Louis Vitton or Ferrigamo and Dunhill but the clothes I liked were not available of my size as I am tall and healthy and Thai are usually short and slim hence I find my size in Thailand with bit of difficulty and but still I am more comfortable and easy in finding my likings at Central World and Gaysorn.
You can find different brand shops of women wears and men wear and electronics or eye wears every where plus a big departmental store in every plaza again selling different brands under one roof and these departmental stores in every plaza are selling almost same brands in shoes like Ecco, Regal, Clarks, Bally, Rock Port or clothes like arrow, camel, john Henry, lacoste, pere cardin, vaun husein, Garbang and others so if you go in one departmental store from other you will not find any thing new except sizes or few different colors rest they carry almost same brands every where. Rest you can find Armani, Hugo boss, Dunhill, Bali, and other famous designer having separate outlets in each plaza.
Gaysorn Plaza is best for brand shopping as it has just famous brands in it with no departmental store.
I bought my daily wears from departmental stores named as Zen and Istaan in Central World and my sports wears from Nike and Addidas at Central World and my dinner suits from Hugo Boss and Armani and a few hand bags for my wife and sister from Fendi and Louis Vitan in Gaysorn Plaza as it is small plaza and exclusive for these outlets only with no other stores in it.
These out lets are quite expensive and men suits range from 35, 000 Baht upwards and hand bags also start from 25000 baht upwards and all these outlets treat their customers very special way and give their products in wonderful packing.
Only important thing is one should carry passport all the time when out for shopping and get the form for VAT refund from each store separately if amount of shopping exceeds 5000 baht and that form should be obtained same day as they will not sign it next day as far as I know.
This refund is 7% of total value so if your shopping amount is high then on your way back you will have handsome amount back at airport when you are leaving country. Only important thing to remember is that if you are traveling first class in Thai airways then first get your VAT refund from departure of ordinary class travel lounge after having done from Passport stamp from immigration but before entering the departure lounge of first class as there is no arrangement of refund in first class counter and you have to go to other side through a only for staff use door to economy class lounge to get your refund and don’t deposit your luggage with airlines until and unless you don’t get refund as customs sign for refund voucher only after seeing your valuables and things and after getting it signed then you can enter in lounge and when in duty free area then there is a counter where you will get your money after you show your custom authorities signed vat refund form. I got a very handsome amount back and from that I bought a few things from outlets of Ferrigamo and Cartier at duty free area in lounge and then went into first class lounge and waited for my flight.
Now coming back to shopping the most interesting thing I want to share with you people that as I stayed 3 nights with Miss N and two nights with Miss K and during that both these girls went out for shopping with me in all places and helped me in picking bags from stores to back to Livingstone’s as we had to walk a lot with these bags from stores to station and then on train and then again from station to lodge as that was the only easy way to come back rather than coming back in taxi and traffic jams.
But believe me both these girls were so nice that I have no words to explain as they carried bags and spent whole day with me by going one store to another and plus they were seeing the way I was spending money in expensive stores daily and they did not even ask me once that they also want something for them and I was impressed by their attitude as I thought they will ask me also to get them this and that and will put me in awkward position if they want something expensive and if I have to say no.
I myself bought them a few gifts at end and though they were of small amount comparing to my own shopping but believe me they were so happy that I can’t explain.
I asked Giotto and Mrs. Giotto Mamasen regarding MBK as I never had seen it earlier but as it was very popular with tourists and even with Thai people so got information from them that I can find any thing I want from fake to original there and it’s a huge shopping place so I got interested in seeing that place and one day I went there with Miss N as this was not on sukhumvit line so one has to change to stadium line on sky train from Siam station interchange and we went and followed people going in a big store and that was Tokyo store and I bought a few things from there but could not fine any thing new as this place was same like any departmental store which I have mentioned earlier and selling same brands as I could get there in Central or Robinsons so was wondering why Giotto has sent me here so after getting back to Lodge I asked him and came to know that I went to a wrong place and instead of entering Tokyo store I had to go downstairs and enter the building from another door and next day I went with Miss K their and was amazed to see small shops their selling from garments all big names but all fake and electronic shops watch shops selling original and fake products and people were flocking around these shops and were buying things from all sorts of shops and believe me it has every thing to sell under one roof but quality wise this place according to me is zero as selling mostly cheap and fake products.
Now I wanted around 20 meters cloth like Thai silk for my mother sisters and wife so on my last day girl at reception of lodge told me the place to get it so went with Miss K there and got it and my shopping was complete finally and now after coming back said good bye to Miss K and packed my things and said good bye to Lodge and Guiddo helped me in getting taxi and putting my heavy bags in trunk and I came back with happy memories and sad heart as I will miss every thing every moment and every day till I am back again on holidays here.
Sorry for my long reports friends and for bearing me so long.
Good Bye

Taxi directions in Thai to Livingstones?
There have been several reports on the least expensive way to take a taxi to Livingstone's. Sometimes the drivers pretend to not understand, etc. What's the possibility of Giotto posting the exact directions to Livingstone's in the Thai language in the forum? Then we could copy and print and hand to the driver.
Please advise your friend
No problem about the front desk... I'll be with him if we go. He usually likes to stay at expensive hotels like the Peninsula, going to all the expensive places that cater to Japanese clientèle, but I'm telling him it's not necessary to spend so much money.
Maybe we'll see you this September, Giotto.
BTW, do you have a list of 'fun' locations nearby where most of the girls speak Japanese?
Byung,
please do us a favor. Unfortunately the japaneese customers are well known for paying extremely high prices, a result of the high entertainment prices in Japan and are also weak in negotiating skills. And your comments about him ('going to all expensive J-Places') speak it out that he is a 'typical' Japanese customer.
But please advise your friend that he should adjust his price level to the real local Bangkok level and that he wouldn't do all good for the whole mongering group if he creates a 'japan price expectation' in the sports bar girls brain.
Soo please give him some lessons before.
regards

A stay with some surprises at the Lodge
My short stay at the Lodge began with an unexpectedly late arrival: Due to a cancelled flight I only got to Livingstone's around 2am. No problem with check-in though, Guido even managed to get the aircon unit working despite the missing remote control. But the late arrival still meant that I had to postpone my visit to the Sports Bar. Upon getting up late the next day (can't call it morning anymore) I discovered the greatest invention since sliced bread: the all-day breakfast. This idea is really ingenious and you wonder why other hotels haven't picked it up (ok, well, we know why ...).
My muscles still remembering a couple of journeys in cramped economy class, the afternoon plan was quickly formed: a proper massage. Since Sazanka's been on my list for some time, it was about time to pay that much heralded place a visit. Although I blithely walked past the "Mambo" theatre and thus walked much longer than necessary (via Soi 22) I eventually found the place and was pleasantly surprised. Although it's been mentioned on the board before, I still found the reception friendly and professional. Chose the Sazanka massage (1380 Baht - why not 1400, actually?). You get to choose a girl too - none of them is stunning but it still seems reasonable to imagine the person giving you a handjob having a pleasant face as well. Yet as I realized later, the only time you actually see much of your girl (Mauy it was, if I remember correctly) is during the final shower. I found Sazanka a great experience. The scrub and the massage really did the trick for me. I felt clean like never before, and the HJ technique is fantastic. I didn't expect too much from the sexual part, but in the end both the massage (incl. the salt treatment) and the HJ exceeded my expectations.
Out on Suk again I decided that there's only one way to continue on the wellness path: to have a proper haircut - no extras in this case, but just a nice salon with an even nicer stylist at MBK. She remembered me from a couple of months ago and we quickly had a nice conversation going, at the end of which I had her phone number. Or so I thought at least - for back at the Lodge I had to find out that I had either written down a wrong number or she had made a "mistake", duh.
Whatever, I'm here to explore and report about the Lodge and Sports Bar anyway! Dinner at the pool provided a perfect opportunity to survey the window displays and they looked promising. Plenty of nice, tastefully dressed ladies - and hardly any customers! Just as some idea about who might be a relevant target among the girls began to take shape, my plans were however thwarted: As I passed by the girls, one of them suddenly called my name. "Hm," I thought, "isn't that advanced service here - the girls apparently already have customer profiles?". But no: She simply was a familiar face - Miss N - from one of the Suk massage parlours whom I've had for LT as well. I had quite fond memories of those meetings - on the other hand the plan had been to sample some new fruits at the Sports Bar. But so be it, sometimes repeat experiences can be rewarding, too ;)
