In that regard, HIV (as one example) is not one of them. It isn't like you can give it to someone else by coughing in their face on the skytrain. When I applied for my first retirement visa at the Thai Consulate back in the USA, I had to provide a letter from my doctor showing that I'd been tested for this and that disease and was all clear. HIV was definitely not one of them and, as I recall, neither was any other sexually transmitted disease. However, that was about 7 years ago. Maybe requirements have changed since then.

Subsequent annual visa extensions do not require me to provide a doctor's letter. So, again, that suggests nothing revealed in a medical check up, no matter how serious, is a reason for them to search you out and deport you.

I don't know what happens if your test at, say, Thai Red Cross, comes up positive for something serious while they probably have your name, passport number and phone number on file. I have never heard of someone being kicked out because of something found in one of those tests. Not saying it can't or doesn't happen though.

The photo galleries on this forum are meant to make the forum more attractive to prospective new customers so I don't like to critisize. I also do not want to hurt the posters' feelings. Who am I to critisize since I very rarely post any pics myself. But were I to speak my mind it would often be "don't tell me you flew half way round the world for that!"

I'm not even speaking of the series of close-ups of genitalia. They have the same effect on me as pages from a veterinary manual.

But she looked just as fine and doable as she looked in every other photo I ever saw of her on her dating site profile and Line account! That is when I noticed that she held her head and smiled in exactly the same way in every photo, including our selfie. Brilliant. She knew how to make herself look "Camera Beautiful" and put her face and body in that position for every photo.

Her Line account Timeline is full of hearts in the eyes love stickers from a dozen or more guys who apparently have only seen her pics and chatted with her on the dating site and on Line but never met her in person.

From that experience forward, one of the first things I do after we move from the dating site email chat to our Line accounts is to casually ask if she is ok to video chat for one minute now "just to say Hello". If she says no due to being at work or having company but without stating a more specific time when she can do it then I am very hesitant to bother chatting much further. She likely doesn't look anything like her photos and knows as soon as the guy sees her on video the fun and flirty exchanges come to a screeching halt. It also means she will likely never be available to meet in person either. She is a waste of my time.

My other early take away from that experience was to be wary whenever the girl displays several pics where she is posed (particularly facially) in exactly the same angle with exactly the same expression or smile on her face.
